My husband and I separated 17 years ago because, among other things, he cheated. We have made contact each other again, discovered we have feelings for each other, but I don't trust him. In the meantime, I have found someone who is honest, loving, and a good man, but all I can think of is my husband who cheated. What in the world is wrong with me?

My sink is leaky and has flooded my apartment twice now, and only one of the burners on my stove works. There are also mice in my apartment every once in a while. My landlord ignores me when I ask her to fix my sink and stove, but yells at me when she has to come drain the sink because it starts dripping into the apartment underneath me. At what point can I get the problems fixed myself and take the cost off my rent?

That is, where in scripture ITSELF does it provide a list of what books are SUPPOSED to be in the Bible (i.e. "Genesis is scripture, Exodus is scripture," etc. on through the rest of the Bible books)? I submit to you that there in NO internal evidence that the books we now have in the Bible are 'supposed' to be there or that other books are not supposed to be there - all we have is VERBAL assurances by the clergy that the set we now have is the 'correct' one!

I avoided piercing my ears for a while but clip-ons make me so itchy and sore and I'm getting a lovely pair of yellow gold hoops for Christmas so I decided to give it a try. I'm 20 and just deflowered my earlobes last night and let me tell you it was it irritating. Sterilized needles, ice cubes to numb my ears, cleansing alcohol, the whole shebang. It was especially difficult for me- I'm not sure if it was because the needles were too dull or because my lobes are extra firm. I kept singing Christmas carols to distract from the pain lol. It's going to be pretty annoying for a little while until they heal straight- I'm going to have clean my lobes with alcohol twice a day to prevent infection and constantly twist my earrings to prevent the holes from closing up. And last night one of my earrings fell out in bed and the hole closed up already and I had to repierce it. Arrrgh.

My daughter will be 1 year old in Feburary. I am very excited to through her a party. I also have a son who will be celebrating his third birthday in March but the last 2 birthdays his grandparents (my in-laws) showed up with their own booze. How do I tell them i want an alcohol free birthdays this year. It soooo imbarasing when they can't handle them selves around company. It's a child birthday party for crying out loud. Okay, I give up! What's the best way to cook crispy roast potatoes! I have tried having the oven on gas 7 for 10min with oil in a roasting pan in it before putting spuds in the pan.
