Warm water is the only way you should wash your fruit, however, too much and you will lose the beneficial nutrients. Anti-bacterial soap will do nothing beneficial and is not necessary.

I use a commercially available fruit and vegetable wash to clean all of my produce. However, if you are worried about E. coli, it cannot be 'washed off'. It can only be destroyed by the cooking process. I would simply avoid veggies and fruit that grow 'low to the ground' from California until the situation is under control. Once they start providing sanitation facilities for their farm workers and they're not 'dumping' in the fields any more, I suspect the problem will pretty much go away.

found out from a well being nut to place dish washing cleansing soap interior the sink and set fruit and vegggies in it for extra or less 10 miinutes and than rinse off, if longer the cleansing soap will soak into the fruit/veggie,so 10 minutes is a lot, I easily have performed now for extra or less 18 years and looks high quality

Just run them under cold runnning water and rub all over with your hands. That is the way I have always done it.We are really becoming a bunch of fraidy cats nowadays. Don't worry about it.

Do not use hot water, user lukewarm water with regular soap. Just make sure you rinse it well and dry.
