What are the best settings to use on a digital camera at night to take landscape photos?

I can over-ride the automatic settings, but need eduating about which manual settings to change, and why.

I am using the optical zoom option and a basic built-in flash at the moment.

Why is it that you can buy lethal cancer causing cigarettes from most shops however shops aren't allowed ( I don't think) to sell nicotine replacement therapy aids? (Patches/Gum etc).

The Government whinges on about how much smokers cost the National Health Service so why isn't NRT therapy free sold next to cigarettes in shops?

Is it purely financial as tax on cigarettes is extertionate?

my xbf and i broke up a couple of months ago, and the split was BAD.

which is why i got a little mad when i found out my best friend was keeping in touch with my xbf's best friend. they had been exchanging flirty emails and talking on myspace for a while after the break up, even though they had only met ONCE in real life.

it really bothers me bc my best friend, of all people, should know how touchy everything concerning my ex is, and i feel that she is being insensitive to my feelings. when i confronted her she said she didnt enjoy talking to him, but felt compelled to respond to his messages. and yet she does this despite my feelings.

now he is asking her to meet up over christmas. the last thing i want is for her to become friends with all of my ex's best friends, and be tangled in that group of frends again. and still she is considering it, even though supossedly she "doesnt enjoy talking to him"

am i out of line here? should i say smthng to her again?

What do you think about going to medical school in the Carribean? Is it really that bad? Is it more difficult to get a good residency after graduation and do people look down on that school? In reality, affirmative action gets people into U.S. medical schools eventhought their stats may be lower. And a low ranking U.S. medical school vs Ross.... Is there a big difference??
