For example, a looter in Iraq. Or anyone else guilty of a normal criminal offence in a war zone. Do they get read their rights, or a version of them? Where do they get taken? If there's no civilian law enforcement to hand them over to, what happens to them?

I have received some e-mail from this company telling me that I won an amount of more than $ 5.000.000. I believed because all seem to be real and legal;Therefore, i decide to chect it out. I received an e-mail from a creationist telling me that MICROevolution has been observed but not MACROevolution.

Of course, both of those are creationist terms, not scientific terms.

Would some bright creationist tell me what natural mechanism STOPS evolution at the species level? Since populations DO change, what prevents speciation?

I just asked this question, but everyone who responded apparently thought I was serious. Let me try again.

I have an absurd idea which, while it is patently incorrect by every measurable standard, I claim is my religion. I am therefore demanding equal time in public education, so that my crazy ideas will be put in the same context as the correct answer that everyone with an IQ above 31 can agree on.

This is exactly the same argument that is being used by advocates of Creation Science and Intelligent Design. They are using "Freedom of Religion" to get their mythology taught in science class alongside the products of repeatable experiments that are accepted by 99.99% of all biologists, geologists, cosmologists, and astrophysicsts in the world.

So if you're going to make my kids learn your superstitions as science, then I think your kids should learn about my insane conjectures as mathematics.

My husband is a temp employee at a well known company. They are saying they want to hire him as a permanent employee and that he will recieve full benefits. As a result of him getting full benefits they want to reduce his hourly pay when they do hire him on (by a dollar or more). Has anyone ever heard of this before? I've never run into this situation before. Is this normal?

Is it wrong for me to hold on to the hope that she will want me back? She never gave me any real reason for dumping me. It was a decision that she made out of the blue and it nearly killed me. I had to admit myself to a nut ward for a week. After getting out I gave her and the kids all of my possessions and left the state on a greyhound with nothing but a heart full of pain and three bags of clothes. When I got back to Ohio I was a wreck and had to go to a crises center and get on anti depressants. I couldn’t work or leave my uncles house for a month. When I finally got a job I had to fight the tears back for 8 hours a day then I would come home and break down sobbing like an idiot. I would write her E-mails asking why but never got a straight answer. Then she stopped replying all together. I still write her and she never responds. I miss her and the kids so bad that I still cry like a big baby. I still love them with all of my heart but the grief I feel is so overpowering sometimes that I don’t know if I will ever be free of it. Sometimes when I see the light at the end of the tunnel I feel guilty almost as if I were cheating on her memory. I know that I’m just lying to myself but I cant help but believe that one day she will contact me and tell me how wrong she was and how she wants to start over and come home to me. I live for that day I live for that lie. I just wish I knew why. She hurt me more than I ever thought possible but I would give my life for her without a thought. How do you abandon all hope when that’s all you have?

I read somewhere that you gain weight during your period. I also read that your hips look slightly wider and stretch marks can appear. Is this true? Just wondering since I've never noticed anything different in myself during that time. Is your period supposed to affect your weight at all?
