I mean, it isn't necessary for teens to rebel. In fact, they probably would do better if they just shut up and listened to what their parents said instead of making everything a fight. I mean, I'm 18, and all of the time I've been a teenager, I've always tried to avoid being rebellious, and try to listen to my parents as much as possible, so why don't other teens?

I'm in a relationship that I'm unsure of.It began as an unhealthy relationship but then it gradually started getting better.By "unhealthy",I mean,he constantly cheated and I was simply stressed out.Sometimes I feel like ending it but I don't want to see him with anybody else.He doesn't mind spoiling the woman he's with and I don't want to let that go.Also,we live in a small town and I know that people would have a field day with our break-up because there is alot of jealousy about the relationship.We do everything together but stupid decisions we made in the past stopped us from being where we should be in life.We're trying to start over but it's hard for me to forget what he did in the past.I'm no angel,but hey,I respected him.It's just confusing and I don't want to stay for all the wrong reasons.

I am going for my final interview for an administration position at my local council next week. I am quite confident that I will get the position because there are a number of positions available. However, the starting date is in Mid January, and I have been told that I will need to go through their training programme for the first 4 weeks.

The problem I have is that I have already booked a 3 week holiday from the last week of February to the first 2 weeks of March next year. So when I go for my final stage interview next week, which of the following would you recommend that I do:

1. Do not mention anything about my holiday until perhaps the beginning of February.
2. Do not mention my holiday, and if I do get the job, then cancel my holiday since it seems to be too close to the end of my training period, and go on holiday some time later next year.
3. Mention my holiday at the interview and perhaps face the risk of being rejected, since it is too close to my start date.

A winter storm put about two inches of ice on everything around here Thursday. Along with that, it knocked out alot of ppl's electricity. I was among those, and just got it back on last night. It was hard toughing it out here, but there weren't many options. Going those few days really made me appreciate the luxuries I use and take for granted each day. I would say that the electricity is probably at the top of my list. What do you use and abuse?

I've contributed to special causes before, volunteered and have tried to help. I do however wonder, if continuing to Aid African Nations is such a good Idea. Most African Nations have Ultra Corrupt Governments that pocket most of the Aid sent, also won't Aiding cause people to be dependant on receiving help rather than being self suffiecient.

Just wanted some insight into the differences b/w men and women. I am being made to think this, but I'm trying to find out if this is a guy thing or just me. I know I hate arguing, and whenever my wife and I get into it, and there is tension in the air and nothing is being resolved, I leave the house to avoid any escalations. I would much rather cool off elsewhere and then come back later to talk logically. She feels that this action is enough grounds for a divorce, but I tell her men don't like to argue. Once when I tried staying at home and in the other room after we had a heated argument, she practically barged into the room then walks out slamming the door. I felt this is not the environment for me to cool off. So I just usually leave the house to avoid any escalations. But she feels that I am "abandoning" her when I do this and I try to explain that men do this alot cos we dont like to argue. Please share your experiences guys and girls and maybe some advice.

everyone always says that kobe is a selfish player, that means they obvisiouly havent seen him play this season. He is only averaging 16 shots a game and 25 points. I have always known there was something odd about the way our relationship was unfolding, like some fundamental connection was lacking. At first, I discounted it as incompatability, just let us move on our seperate ways. But then there were still really good times when we went out too where we were really "together". We talked and she told me she has always been like this, scared to commit but scared to be alone. I am in a catch-22 and didn't know why. I think I have an answer now, but it is hard for me to consider let alone address w/ her, but after A LOT of reading, I am pretty sure she exhibits signs of a specific mental disorder. I am supposed to see her today (which, as always, is a tentative proposition) but assuming I do, I want to discuss what I have been reading b/c I think she is lost as to why she feels the way she does. I know I risk chasing her away if I suggest this, but I would rather that and she might see some truth in what I say and DO something about it.
