Is he that clueless, or is this just political rhetoric?

His pet war has turned into a disaster of monumental proportions, with far-reaching consequences for this country's military, our position in the world, our relationship with our erstwhile allies, and the stability of the entire Middle East. His Dad, in trying to help him, has publicly shown how much he disagrees with his son's policies. His supporters in Congress have been largely ousted.

He desperately needs a scapegoat for his errors. It's pretty plain that he is incapable of admitting he screwed up. He tried again recently to insist that al Qaeda is responsible for the mess in Iraq; when that failed to take, he started blaming the Iraqis themselves.

He's not clueless. He has to be informed. It seems to me that he feels so insulated by his power that he can so or say anything he wants, and enough people will believe him to give him credibility. Despite the widespread awareness that violent extremists have been pouring into Iraq for the last 3 years, if he can sell it to Americans that the average citizens in Iraq are to blame for their own deaths, and the destruction of their country, then he can still claim that invading and toppling their government was the right thing. He's been able to sell similar fallacies to the country before, and there are still a significant number of Americans willing to buy. The latest polls I've seen indicate that 39% of Americans believe this version of events. That's 39% of the people in this country who either don't understand what has happened, or who would rather blame the Iraqis than see this country, and/or themselves, held accountable.

Either that, or he's just off his rocker. I don't believe he's that stupid. I think he just believes a lot of us are. So far, we haven't proved him significantly wrong in that belief.

Yet another example of his sheltered, clueless existence. Most Americans with a hole between there legs know why the Iraqi's are killing each other. You see, when Bush says things like this, he's talking directly to his base.

properly right it fairly is the case, Islam would not forbid Justful Killing. it fairly is "Justful". Emphasis on the Justful. Killing, as interior the type that occurs right this moment as in homicide, Is a extreme crime in islam and the punishment i've got self assurance is dying. Muslims, are no longer allowed to kill Non muslims devoid of reason. Our prophet (observed) the guy that we save on with, our chief, his very own uncle became right into a non-muslim and he on no account as quickly as made an attack on him. Muslims are basically allowed to kill while provoked, in the event that they are attacked then they are allowed to kill. The Qur'an is a existence-style, that's why it bargains with each ingredient of existence, alongside with conflict. It recognizes, yet no longer encouraging, that conflict will happen because of the fact people continually choose to earnings means, in spite of the incontrovertible fact that we as muslims shouldn't commence them. Allah isn't shy in telling us the thank you to stay existence and he tells us that if concerns do come to conflict then we could continually be ruthless as we could continually be stable. The Quran says we could continually no longer choose an come across with the enemy, yet as quickly as we come across them be company. in spite of the incontrovertible fact that, we could continually on no account kill women people nor toddlers nor are we allowed to harm any tree's throughout the time of conflict and in the event that they surrend then we could continually no longer proceed scuffling with. Muslims have been taught that the only concern we could continually have is of Allah, and we could continually inspire the stable and forbid the evil, for this reason if somebody is doing evil we could continually forbid it and not enable it. it fairly is the only case wherein muslims are allowed to kill, no remember if it relatively is a non muslim, a muslim, a christian, a jew and so on. Killing for no reason isn't allowed.

It is something I am trying to figure out. SInce it's insurgents and terroritsts that are doing the fighting and killing. If you think it's our American soldiers you are wrong. Although they do have to defend themselves when the enemy actually stands up and fight like men and not cowards who plant bombs killing two more of my Minnesota soldiers.

Well, the weren't fighting until recently, and everyone says it is the same old conflict, yet they were not doing this 2 years ago. Makes you wonder

It probably had something to do with that terrorist bombing of that mosque in March, who then blamed it on one of the ethnic groups...

Exactly, Iraqi`s would sooner f*cking die than live in a worthless, warped democracy based on the US model. Bush would`nt recognise true democracy if it stood up and pissed in his face.
