I have been playing guitar for a couple of years and I can read tab but recently I have been ttrying to learn scales and I have ran into a few problems. If I am playing a song that has the chords D-A-C-G in it should I play the scale of the chord or the scale of the key of the song?

I have a 21 month old son who is being very violent with me, I am his mother, I am very loving, I do not spank him. I usually put him in time out when he misbehaves. the movie was about a young kid whose grandmother is dying and he/she(?) travels to a dreamland where everyhting is pillowy and soft and she meets up with some animals(I think) and they travel to the evil witch's palace to steal "young berries" they are successful and the kid travels back home, but she trips and all of the youngberries drop to the floor, which makes them disappear. i know this is an obscure movie and it's probably pretty old, but it used to be one of my favorites and i can't remember the title
