I have been suffering from what seems to be depression for several months and it has gotten worse since the break-up of a long term relationship. I moved back home to an apt. by myself and do not have very many friends, but hoping to make some at the college I transferred to.
So now I am looking for advice or suggestions on how to cheer up and get myself out of this depressed state. I started exercising and made an appointment to see a psychiatrist, which is still a few weeks away.
In the mean time, what are some ways that all of you make yourselves feel better when you are depressed/lonely?
I would appreciate any helpful suggestions or feedback, thanks.

On one of my childhood trips to Vietnam, my parents took me to visit a small, isolated country village. I remember that one day, my mother had told me about the children there who could not go to school and how lucky I was to have the opportunity of getting an education available to me. Her words meant little to me as a child whose only concern was when her favorite cartoon was going to show, but as a young adult, my fortune means much more. Realizing this, I knew that I had to share my blessings with others.
Over the years, I have engaged in many community service activities. I have done everything from teaching to watching over children. However, the endeavor most important to me has been helping H.O.P.E (Helping Our People Emerge) raise money to establish schools in rural areas of Vietnam. My eagerness to help others has always been my strongest personal quality. I enjoy being a part of the world's changing toward the better, and I know that if admitted to your univerity, I would dramatically shape the mold of the campus with a friendly helping hand.

She is absolutly in love with me head over heels. I have slept with her a lot quicker than she liked and she let me know. Went out with her today and kept calling her one of her friends names that I know a lot more than her. She was pissed and went home very angry and drunk. I went back to try and fix things and said the name again. I dont think she wants to know but I do but I dunno what to do!

Jim and I have been going out for 3 1/2 yrs - both met in College in Bakersfield. During this summer, Jim had moved to Los Angeles for his full-time job and I drove to his place every weekend to spend a quality time. The last time I seen him in L.A., he took me out to Olive Garden and there was a 10 min wait. While we were waiting, Jim pointed out to me that he had recentley taken out a female colleague out to lunch and pointed to a corner where they both sat and had enjoyed themselves. My question is, "Why did Jim share this with me? And, what does this mean or sound to all the women that is out there?" Please help and explain. At that moment I was a bit sad and asked Jim, "Why he told me?" Instead of Jim explaining, he changed the subject." I wonder what's going on with Jim?

We moved in together a while ago, and split last sunday. since then she has been refusing to return my belongings even though I have offered to return all of hers. I don;t know what to do about this situation and would really like it if someone could help me. How do i fix this? Tonight in about 30 mins. my gf is going to tell me that i need to walk away from her. that it is in my best interest if we are not together. SHe is an alcoholic, has gained a little wait and has a very addictive personality, but lately she has been saying that she treats me badly and that I don't deserve her and that I could find better. SOme of this may be true but I have put up with so much already and honestly i just can't be w/o her. Ok so she is my 1st gf and 1st everything ever. i know lame. but I can't live w/o her i can't. i am thinking of asking her if she wants to be with me in at all or never. cause honestly if she said she could get herself better in six months, i would wait for her. thats just how much i love her. i need her, i want her, can anyone give me advise asap. please help my heart is about to be broken and i need a way to avoid it. please, i'm begging and praying that someone has some good advice soon. I am the girl he asked out. I know you will think I shouldn’t be bothered to ask. My friend told me about the question and there is only one son of a billionaire who is so arrogant.

He is a son of a billionaire and he is good looking. But he is arrogant. The reason why I don't wanna sue him is cause of his family. They are soooo nice. His parents, brother and 4 sisters, all are nice. One of his sisters is my bestfriend.

He didn't buy me a BMW and a flat. It was his father who bought me. He treats me like a daughter.

I rejected him for 2 reasons.
1. He is arrogant. He even stopped going to college saying it is full of middle class people. He will never respect my family if I marry him.
2. He doesn't have 3 girlfriends but he has 30. He won't change after marriage and I don't want my husband to hang out with other ladies.

I've been working out my arms for 2-3yrs. I work on biceps 3x a week, triceps 2x a week. I think i've got decent size biceps (i can curl 35s..plz plz save your applause) but it doesn't really show when my arm is straight and relaxed. In fact it looks pretty damn flat. Only time the cut and muscles are seen is when i'm flexing my arms or when making a fist. How can i get that permanent cut-look?...do you think i need to work more on the triceps?...what are some exercises?

My wife cheated on me, we had been marrien for 10 yrs, I found out 2 wks ago I am so depressed, we have 2 kids, we both are in our 30's, I gave her everything she needed, she was (at least that is what I knew) so happy with me, our sex life was incredible, I thought we were the ferfectcouple, and I am right now in a unbearable pain, cannot describe how dissapointed I am, I want to stop loving her, heal and move on but it is harder that I thought, please HELP!!!!

There are theories of how Native Americans came to the New World, but new archeological evidence contests the Land Bridge theory. Also, I find it hard to believe that a whole 50% of the world was uninhabitated by man. Plus, there isnt enough time to have people migrating from the Bering Strait all the way down to South America. Not possible based on models of human migration.

Has anyone done any DNA research to test where Native Americans came from and if they have different haplotypes that would disprove/prove the Land Bridge theory.

Another thing, the language is completely different and the style of living is different from other Asian peoples. I think that appearance is not a good indicator of origin because Vikings and Afghanis can be blonde and are not necessarily from the same group.
