Johnson's baby bath is the mildest I have found.

I have a two month old. I started with Grins and Giggles Lavender. I then moved to Johnsons head to toe. Seems to have solved the rashy problem. Also, make sure you either use Dreft Laundry soap or at the very least a second rinse in the wash. And don't use dryer sheets or any type of fabric softener. Their skin is just too sensitive. I thought about trying Burt's Bees stuff, but I haven't yet. I do like the Dove soap idea, I think I will try it!

No, they can't actually film a birth for scripted TV. The actors playing doctors don't have real medical degrees and are not qualified to deliver babies. It's not hard to fake a birth for TV, since they can't very well show a woman's vagina on television, so they just pull a robo-baby (they can't use a real newborn because babies that young can't be under the harsh filming lights) out from somewhere between the actress' legs. Sometimes if an actress was really pregnant, they'll use her baby to play the character's baby, but it's very rare because child labor laws restrict the amount of time that infants can even be on set if they're going to be filmed at all. One such instance that I know of is GH's Skye. Robin Christopher's real-life baby played Skye's daughter Lila Rae.

I always had extremely sensitive skin and Johnson's even irritated me. My pediatrician recommended DOVE FOR SENSITIVE SKIN. just the regular bar. Rub it on a cloth and wash baby.

Too many "baby soaps" and things (even Johnson's) have fragrances and stuff that can irritate sensitive skin.

Dove's not really soap, it's some other kind of cleanser, and it makes skin silky smooth without irritating it. I still use it.

My grandfather also said I was the best-smelling baby he ever met. ; )

Dove Unscented Body Wash

Awesome for sensitive new skin.

Other stuff can cause red bumps and rash on baby's softer areas.

No scented soap/oils/lotions etc for at least a couple of months.

I had a preemie with super-sensitive skin, and we liked both the Huggies with lavender, and the Gerber with lavender; both were no-tears kinds. Watch out, though -- I've heard that the no-tears formulas can cause cradle cap if they're not completely rinsed off the baby's hair and scalp. Make sure you get all the soap off! :)
