McDonlads offers both those. You dont have to cook or do the dishes, you get to go out and its quick and easy to make.

Because this is convenient and what the customer wants people enjoy it and will always return for more

Because its a consumable product the customer HAS to buy more

consider this

1000 people buy a fridge which lasts for 3 years...hardly consumable. So consider how much 1000 people will spend on fast food in 3 years

Its not just convenience, but affordablity as well. People nowadays are busy, no time for those all day, home cooked meals. Now its all about simplicity, taste and cost.
