i came to usa on april 2006 on greencard .but i like to go back to my country ,india and do my under graduate and come back then .how can i apply for extension?from which site i can get more information?please help me?its urgent?

You don't need and extension for a greencard unless you are talking about a renewal! If you intend to be gone out of the US for more than a year, you will need a reentry permit I-131.

As soon as you leave the country, your greencard becomes worthless. The border agents WILL take the card and you will have to apply again when you want to come back to the US.
