Well, your opinion is your truth because that is how you interpret these 2 voices...as sounding just alike. I however would have to disagree with you. Even though I've only listened to both a couple of times, I can immediately tell that Fantasia has a lot more range than Macy. Fantasia can really belt out sounds from her gut, which is where she gets the power to blow that air through her vocal chords and out of her mouth. She also can go really high and has vibrato in her voice, which is the ping pong effect that you can do with your voice by controling the air coming out. Macy has a lower range, raspy, sounds more airy, less of it coming out of her gut. I'm not saying that one is better than the other, because their own creativity creates the awesome sounds they can produce, however, they do sound different. I hope this helps...

A Little bit. I can see why you would think that. They resemble each other with their voice. I think Macy Gray is more hoarse though. Fantasia sings sometimes the same hoarse way.

She is horrific! I observed her at Glastonbury in 2003 the place she replaced into so undesirable she just about have been given bottled offstage. She replaced into announcing issues like "tell me you like me, Glastonbury!" "do not you basically love me Glastonbury?" steer clear of.
