Can I have Ubuntu along with Windows?

From what I read in wikipedia, Ubuntu is a free OS. Does that mean I can have it along with Windows? Or will it operate within Windows? Also, there was something written about it coming along with OpenOffice and Firefox. Please give a detailed answer.

A little math help please?

Write the equation of the line L satisfying the given geometric conditions.
L has y-intercept (0, 2) and is perpendicular to the line with equation 2x – 3y = 6.

I have no clue as to how to even attempt this. I've been trying a bunch of different ways to solve it (ways that the textbook shows me to), and I keep comming up with illogical solutions. Please help!

I got ripped off !!!!?

I bought my daughter a 98 VW Bettle as a graduation gift. I paid $6000 for it. I had to save for this gift. I raised my daughter alone and it was difficult. We had the car 1 month and it broke down in Alabama stranding her for a week. I had it tolled back to Atlanta. It cost me $800 to fix. It has given us nothing but problems. It now need a water pump, so I decided to get rid of it. I took it to the dealer and it had been wrecked 2 times were the air bags deplated. My mistake was not getting a Vehicle report before the purchase.I bought it from a private seller but it was sitting on a car lot when we purchased it. (Ron's Auto Sale) Another dealer wants to give me $3500 for the car, so Im in the hole by $2500 plus repairs done. Is there anything I can do legally to get my money back? The car was sold as is, but the accidents were never disclosed to me and I overpaid for this vehicle. The lemon law in Georgia is for new cars. I am really hurt by this. Please help ! What can be done?
