Umm that's not true. Americans don't mind being nurses...where r u getting ure info?

Nursing is more than just taking care of the sick. Nurses have a tremendous responsibility and can be sued for basically anything that goes wrong. They have to take orders from arrogant physicians that rant and rave over little things like not having a pen. While trying to take care of the patient, they have to deal with demanding family members. They work very long shifts and are on their feet for 12 to 15 hours. After each procedure that they do, they must document everything which takes hours. They work all hours and every holiday. Being a nurse is not a glamorous job and I envy anyone that can handle it.

Are you referring to the so-called shortage of nurses here in the States? There has been, but only because of the limited number of accredited nursing schools in some areas. I was lucky to find a 1 year Licensed Practical Nurse school within 20 miles of my home, and graduated in the top 5% of my class. I absolutely love being a nurse.

Lots of them do, there are lots and lots of jobs in nursing because our population is both growing and aging, so there is an ever increasing demand. It is a good paying job but hard hours. My best friend is a nurse.
