I bought my daughter a 98 VW Bettle as a graduation gift. I paid $6000 for it. I had to save for this gift. I raised my daughter alone and it was difficult. We had the car 1 month and it broke down in Alabama stranding her for a week. I had it tolled back to Atlanta. It cost me $800 to fix. It has given us nothing but problems. It now need a water pump, so I decided to get rid of it. I took it to the dealer and it had been wrecked 2 times were the air bags deplated. My mistake was not getting a Vehicle report before the purchase.I bought it from a private seller but it was sitting on a car lot when we purchased it. (Ron's Auto Sale) Another dealer wants to give me $3500 for the car, so Im in the hole by $2500 plus repairs done. Is there anything I can do legally to get my money back? The car was sold as is, but the accidents were never disclosed to me and I overpaid for this vehicle. The lemon law in Georgia is for new cars. I am really hurt by this. Please help ! What can be done?

I would get legal advice on used car laws because they have laws on used cars. Try this website and see if they can help you it's worth a shot. www.autolemonlaws.com/georgia or you can call them 1-866-86-lemon.

If the car is sold "AS IS" there is nothing you can do.. except learn from your mistakes.. Seeing how the car is a 98, you still have a good deal on your hands. The car books for more than you gave for it (trade in value)

If you fix the car, you still have a good deal on the price...

The best bet would be to take it to a VW dealer and trade it in.. Do temperary fixes on the VW to make it run smooth and trade it in on something about the same price and ask for a REPORT this time.
The car lot will not get a report on the vehicle..so you will get trade in value ( which is more than what you paid) and you will end up with a better car for just a few more dollars.

I am so sorry to hear that this happened to you and I know it must be extremely frustrating especially knowing that you worked so hard to get it. But unfortunately you bought it 'as is' as well as you didn't get the vehicle report beforehand. You were scammed and the owner was dirty by making you think that it was a great deal. But the person obviously knew what they were doing because you have no legal standing or legal position to be compensated and they knew that when you bought and paid for it. But if I were you, I would still try to get more info about your local state laws regarding the purchase of used vehicles because there may be a clause in it to help you. You could also try to take that person to small claims court to settle and I hope things work out for you.

I would not sell it to a dealer they have a bad habit of offering a lot less that what it is worth. Fix the water pump if it isn't too costly and sell it yourself by blue book value or have a dealer pay for it at blue book value.

would desire to be a re-issued or US version, Will, because of the fact my CD had the two a sort of songs. that's honestly the album the place i got here across "warning" ~ one in all my universal Black Sabbath songs :) there's a Vinegar Joe album I considered paying for ~ "Six famous individual well-known" ~ until I examine the comments :~ " 'Lemon' is the label, and a superb lemon that's only too. This CD has of course been 'mastered' from a vinyl checklist, with of course audible vinyl floor noise, monitoring distortion AND end of side wow (velocity version)" ************ ********** ************ Remebered yet another one :~ whilst WB first positioned the double LP of Fleetwood Mac's "Tusk" on CD, they had to edit the music 'Sara' to make it in wonderful condition. It ultimately have been given it is finished 6:26 launch on the 2004 re-situation.

It may be worth it to you to fix the water pump and then sell it yourself. You'll get a sight more than the dealer is offering you.
