how do you handle a mouthy 10 year old?

she is my step-daughter and whenever she spends time with her mom, she comes home very disrespectful towards me and very resentful towards her father. it usually last for about a week and then she acts as if nothing happened. does this mean she wants to live with her father or does she just really hate me?

Can International student take a loan in USA from a bank?

I'm int. student with F-1 status. I'm holding ssn, however as a student I can't work legally. I'm hoping to take a loan and pay my tuition for bus. school I got into. Do you know of any bank who does it for int. students as well? Thanks for all info.

Is it possible to completely transfer the data from one hard drive to another?

Right now I have a loud, and small internal hard drive. I want to buy another one, silent and more storage, but I want to keep ALL of my data, including the OS. (Windows XP Pro SP2) So is it possible to transfer all the data off of one internal hard drive to another?

Swearing in front of kids?

Hi, I wonder if it is just me, or are you all noticing day-in/day-out how many people swear in front of their children each day.
I has in a show looking for christmas cards, when a woman behind me said to the shop assistant:"I want some of those f***ing paints, and some f***ing glitter, but only some cheap sh*t." I turned around and the person swearing was a mother with her 2-year-old. I noticed several of those instances in one single day.
What's wrong with people?

What do you give thumbs down for?

I give them for really rude/racist questions/answers and ones that are factually wrong when the question has a definitive answer. I notice some really good answers get thumbs down, why is this?

Why do I feel skinnier in the morning??

When I first wake up and look in the mirror I look and feel alot more skinnier. But, as the day goes on it seems like I get "plumper" even though Im not fat or ne thing...I dunno its wierd does this happen to ne one else??? and what is it?? i like it..lol

8th Grade Math- Solving Equations with Variables on Both Sides?

Im in 8th grade math- we are learning pre-algebra-- solving equations wit variables on bith sides i have NO idea how to do it here are some of the problems:
2n+12=5n
4(x-5)+2=x+3
4(y-2/4)=9(y+1/3)
