my roomate did something that made my start menu/task bar to the right side of my screen. I want to move it back to the bottom. I have a laptop. I've tried clicking and dragging but that clearly doen't work.

Well, my children all have plans for the Thanksgiving holiday, therefore, I will not have any plans. So I have decided to take a trip to Washington DC for the day. I will be traveling by train to arrive and depart for the trip. My questions are... will most things be open for this holiday? Will the bus and rail systems be moving about? Mostly everything that I want to see is outside and I do not plan on eating nor shopping. I am in hopes that I can pull off this trip for around $140.00 with the round trip train travel costing $128.00. I hitch hiked across the US when I was 16 so I know how to go places with out spending a lot of money and yet still having a blast. So any ideas you may have that you would like to pass on would be great. I will have 7 hours and 45 minutes to do everything I can. I am not beyond eating somewhere that will not cost an arm or leg but close enough I can walk from the memorials.

My cousin pierced her cartilage by herself the other day and I immediately wanted her to do mine. I am having second thoughs about it though. She said it "hardly hurt at all" but I'm not much for pain, especially if I can avoid it by getting the piercing professionly done. Problem is, Mother doesn't want me to have a piercing in my cartilage. When answering, try to tackle these questions.

1. How badly will it hurt? [possibly use scale from 1 to 10]
2. What are the chances of it getting infected?
3. Any tips for piercing tips? Anything I should definitely do?

I have to be at work at 8 am and I am always late because every morning I hit my snooze button. My boss doesn't like it, but I do tend to get away with it. I hate rushing around in the morning and I always regret sleeping in and yet I do it again. I so admire people who can get up at like 5 in the morning and work out and have more time to get ready. I go to bed early enough to get 8 hours and it doesnt help. I tried the alarm clock across the room thing, I get up and turn it off and then go back and lie down. Working at night is not an option becuase I have a little one in preschool and I have to work while she attend during the day.I know I am whining like I have no control but I just really wish I could hop out of bed in the morning but its soo hard. Please help, thanks.

I have bad ankles and everytime I play I have to wrap them. I still always end up getting hurt and getting very sore after I play. I am not sure what else to do to get them strong. ONe wrong shot makes it hurt a lot. I played competitive since I was about 5. I broke my leg back in high school twice which in turn made me stop playing a bit. Just curious what I can do to fix this.

okay-first I know what you all would think... you're in an abusive relationship, GET OUT! Yeah, it's not that easY! I am feeling depressed and helpless, maybe this is where he wants me to be.. he tells me to get out of his life one day, then he loves and hugs me another day, I get all these mixed up and crazy signals... that I don't know what to do, when I do love him. I just don't have the strength to get up and move on with my own life... I will be living life in a strugge & i am scared!... He is my husband! and he is a good provider for me, but I am feeling horrible about myself...
He is not physical anymore since I reported him , but now he is mentally abusing me... which is just as bad. Help me build strength with good solid advice! I have nothing litterally if I don't have him is how I am feeling right now... when I know there are other men out there that would never be this way to a woman!

My dad was in the Army for 24 years, he joined during Vietnam, He wasn't drafted. The stories of his basic training sound way tougher than my cousin or brothers basic training. My brother joined in 2000 and my cousin joined about 3 months ago and already finished his basic training. From what my brother tells me and what my cousin tells me, as time goes by, it sounds to me like basic training is getting soft. Appareantly my cousin says that drill seargents are not allowed to smoke or cuss at them, and they have to call them warriors or soldiers. My brother didn't have that luxuary, and I know my dad didn't either. My dad complains that they aren't warriors or soldiers till they comlete basic. Also, would it have to do with the fact that my dad and brother are both combat arms, infantry and tanker, and my cousin is some sort of accounting?

You should know I am a single mom with no carpentry experience. I just pulled out the carpet in my living and dining rooms and laid 3/4" oak wood on top of the red paper. I have so much left over and would love to attack my stairs that are now carpeted. The floors were my first project and I am so pleased with them. Am I being overly ambitious to take this project on - or can you provide me with some helpful tips?

I'm 42 years old with 8.5 year old and 3.5 year old. I was DONE with kids because of my age and because I had 2 high risk pregnancies and 1 miscarriage. I've been nauseous for 1 week which subsides with food. I have sensitive nipples and have been lactating a small amount. It feels like my uterus is hardening. I feel PREGNANT! But the pregnancy test is negative. If I am not pregnant what on earth is going on? I've read about psychosomatic pregnancy, but can't imagine that since pregnancy has just not been on my mind: either the extreme desire to get pregnant or the extreme desire not to get pregnant. It just hasn't been on my mind at all. So, if I am not pregnant, what is going on? I really appreciate your ideas because I want to know why my body is going berserk! Thanks!
