Many ways:
Windex and old toothbrush
Amonia and water, old toothbrush
Worley's wonder jewelry cleaner
While you're brushing your teeth, do your ring with toothpaste.

I've used all 4 methods successfully

Best way to Clean your Diamonds Rings and make it shine:

1. Boil water in a metal bowl until it's 100 degrees Celsius.
2. When the water is boiling, put in your diamond rings.
3. Leave the rings inside the boiling water for about 10 mins.
4. Use a pincle to take the rings out and leave them to cool.
5. Pour away the remaining boiling water into the sink.
5. Then put some toothpaste or hand detergent onto the rings.
6. Brush them using a soft toothbrush for 5 mins on the area you want to polish and make it shine.
7. After that, run them under normal tap water and wash them with either using your toothbrush or fingers.
8. Use a dryclean cloth to wipe the diamond rings and leave it to dry for 5 - 10mins. And you're ready to have them on the run.

Reasons why you're using boiling water is because you need boiling or hot water to melt the little particles or sediments that accumulated around your diamonds or in between the fine holes of the rings. And because when water is boiling, you can see or feel the vibrations of the water, so indirectly you're using the vibrations to shake off some of the dirts and particles that settled onto your rings.

I own a few good diamonds, so I hope this helps. I realise that there are two methods:
For solitaire, I recommend cleaning with toothpaste with fine baby toothbrush, and rinsing it off with warm water. It removes the oil from the diamond n the precious metal efficiently.
For pave diamonds, dishwashing liquid is the best. Rinse with warm water for sparkling results!

I got this tips from a TV show some time back. It's given by a diamond shop seller. All you need is:

S1: Pour some normal dishwasher detergent in a cup/bowl.
S2: Mix with some water and soak the rings in it for a few minutes or overnight.
S3: Remove from the cup/bowl & rinse it.
S4: Wipe it with a clean towel.
Optional: Blow dry with hair-dryer after S4.
Maintenance: Sent to the shop for special cleaning once a year.
Avoid brushing..... it might leave fine scratches on yr rings.

I think this is the most practical & easy way. I do this in less than 10min each time I need my rings for certain ocassion.

Soak the ring in warm water for a while, clear the dirt using a cotton butt. For the ring portion, use a silver cloth with the use of some baby powder (non perfume type) to polish, it will retain the shines of the ring.

Get yourself an at home ultrasonic jewelry cleaner. I use that once a month for the dirt I can't reach meantime. While I shower, I soak my jewelry is a natural cleaner - like Carribean Gem from QVC.com. I brush it lightly after soaking, behind the stones to get the gunk out, and then rinse.

I find that using toothpaste on and old toothbrush and gently scrubbing on the diamond or even gold jewelery works really well and then just rinse off with some water.

Jewelry cleaner sold at jewelry stores. Set the ring in, wait a minute, scrub it with the tiny brush, then rinse it off with warm water. Use a lint-free towel to dry it. Hold on tight while rinsing it off!
