my roomate did something that made my start menu/task bar to the right side of my screen. I want to move it back to the bottom. I have a laptop. I've tried clicking and dragging but that clearly doen't work.

Right click on the taskbar and make sure that "Lock the Taskbar" is NOT checked. Then you should be able to click and drag it. You may want to "LocK'" it again once you've moved it back.

I have a labtop as well. Right click on the taskbar and make sure there isn't a checkmark by the "lock task bar". After its unlocked you should be able to click and drag.
