are definitely NOT condoned by the Religion they say they are representing. Would you agree?

I guess so. Each individual author is free to write what he believes and shouldn't need permission from his religious headquarters.
Are you referring to a particular book?
In a previous question of yours I referred to certain catholic books. I should have specified books used for worship. I'm a little too lazy to go into heavy stuff by individual authors, lol.

According to the Vedic Spiritual Books one is not to write any commentary on the Religious or books unless they are in a disciplic succession steaming directly from the Lord or His representative. Such as Lord Krishna5,000 years ago or Lord Christ or Mohamed or Moses. So that is the standard and if we read other books out of line then we will have to weed out a lot more. Krishna says in the Gita "Whenever there is a decline in religious principals and the truth appears to be lost, I appear again and again or send my representative to reestablish the Truth." That is why so many religions. The Bible has so many mistranslations and things taken out by King Constantine. Read the Gospel of the Nazirenes It is the original Doctrine of Christ.
