I have to be at work at 8 am and I am always late because every morning I hit my snooze button. My boss doesn't like it, but I do tend to get away with it. I hate rushing around in the morning and I always regret sleeping in and yet I do it again. I so admire people who can get up at like 5 in the morning and work out and have more time to get ready. I go to bed early enough to get 8 hours and it doesnt help. I tried the alarm clock across the room thing, I get up and turn it off and then go back and lie down. Working at night is not an option becuase I have a little one in preschool and I have to work while she attend during the day.I know I am whining like I have no control but I just really wish I could hop out of bed in the morning but its soo hard. Please help, thanks.

maybe you need some iron or a multi-vitamin. Try to be determined to get up a little earlier than you are used to, and every day a little earlier than the day before. I did that, and now I get up at 5:45 am Monday - Saturday and work out. I'm starting to get more energy, and i also get better quality sleep.

What I do oddly enough is set up 3 alarm clock all ten minutes apart. By that time I am so bugged by all three alarms waking me up that I can't sleep anymore. Another thing I do is to start getting up 10 minutes earlier a day. This makes a huge difference. You start to get in a schedule of getting up a little earlier. You can also turn on some so-very-perky-music-I-cant stay-in-bed -anymore,and many radios have a setting where the radio comes on instead of an alarm. Try to go to bed a little earlier too, that way you aren't so tired in the morning. Well good luck, and happy future mornings!

One thing that really does work is setting your clock fast only by about 15 Min's but don't make it exact and don't count the minuets fast you set it so when you wake up in the morning your not quite sure how long you can lay in bed. Or set you clock an hour earlier and keep hitting the snooze button for and hour, if it goes of every 9 Min's like mine usually by the 5 or 6th alarm, your fed up and awake enough to get up lol. But try the 15 minute first its amazing how that can work.

I was going to mention putting the alarm clock across the room. you are just a night person that's all. Keep your coffee down to a couple of cups a day and don't have any say after 3pm. You need to keep an a consistant schedule. Go to bed and wake up the same time every day even on the weekends. You need to train your body.

Make yourself go to bed early enough to have the amount of sleep that you need by the time you need to wake.

Try giving yourself enough time to shower and eat in the morning. Both things give your body time to wake up and prepare for the day--and help you do it. Maybe get one of those shower radios so you can jam in the shower in the morning. Nothing like waking up to some good music and a hot shower and a good breakfast to start your day.

At first it may be hard, but if you make yourself do it, you will find yourself more and more motivated to get up in the morning as you get used to this routine.

P.S. Coffee does help. :)

You have to retrain yourself. I would suggest going to bed at least 10 hours before you have to be up, for at least 7-10 days. Once you get into the rhythm of it, it will be easier for you to "spring" out of bed when you need to. And on the weekends, you'll still need to get up at the same time, just take a nap later on during the day if you're tired, but not more than 20 minutes, or you'll mess up your sleep cycle, and have to start all over again.

Early to bed, early to rise, makes a man healthy, wealthy, and wise.
-Benjamin Franklin

I would keep a constant schedule on weekends go to bed the same time, and get up at the same time. Maybe on holidays every once in a while you could sleep in. And i would drink coffee about the same time every day. (if I need it)

You have to get into a groove/schedule AND you have to make yourself get up and go to bed early. Going back to bed isn't an option. Think of it this way, most bosses will only tolerate being late so many times and then they will fire you. Let keeping your job be your motivation.

Try getting to bed even earlier. It might help if you keep the blinds open at night, the daylight will help you get up. Really, it is only you that can get yourself up, you have to make the decision like a grown-up and just get up. You aren't a child anymore.

I was just like you,and the above are sayings my mom used to say .Through experiences I learnt they are true.

Don't worry. "If there's a will there's a way".Before going to bed I ask for God's grace to get up early next morning . As soon as I wake up I usually take a shower. Why don't you try ?
