It's really starting to get on my nerves. On Y!A and even in "real life" I see people daily who claim to have been over there. Why on earth would someone feel the need to lie about such a thing?

It also beats me why people (who have been over there) go around thinking they don’t need to do anything or should be treated like a king. Does anyone else know?

My husband has been over there once and will be going back in a month. He is humble and grateful for what he has done but in no means wants people to treat him like some sort of king or any differently then another person they meet. My father is the same way and he was in Desert Storm and my grandfather who was in Vietnam. Isn’t the whole point of being a great solider to do your duty, be humble, and grateful but not to expect such shock? I don't know why but I get offended when people use this as an excuse or lie about it--it's almost like they take the honor out of serving the country.

A study conducted by UCLA's Dept. of Psychology

The kind of face a woman finds attractive on a man depends on where she is in her menstrual cycle. For example if she is ovulating she is attracted to man with rugged and masculine features. However, if she is menstruating or menopausal, she tends to prefer a man with scissors lodged in his temple and a bat jammed up his butt while he is on fire.

Further studies in this area have been cancelled.

I have a yugo SKS and I read that the reciever cover is not a very stable platform and therefore does not result in better groupings than with the standard iron sights. Is this true and if so, what is a better way to mount the scope?

I've heard that there are stage shows in comedy clubs and once in a while at colleges. I've heard they are really really funny. What happens at these shows?

If you were a volunteer, what was the experience like? Would you do it again? Did you cluck like a chicken?

If you were a spectator, what convinced you it was real?

About 4 years ago I was involved in building up a school of Chinese Medicine. It was a cultish establishment and with time, being a part of it became harder and harder for me. So after long deliberation I decided to leave. Since, I have worked hard to make peace with it all, regain my sense of self, and forgive everyone involved, above all myself. The person who leads this school was an important figure in my life. I have kept up some contact with her but never discussed the reasons for my leaving. It was just a subject that neither of us brought up.
So, a week ago I heard she would be leaving the country and taking up another similar assignment elsewhere. In the beginning I was sure that the best thing for me to do would be just to ignore it completely and let it go. But now I'm beginning to have doubts. I really need full closure in this and I need to forgive her completely. What if failing to say goodbye would leave this period in my life unfinished?

What would you do?
