the cooling system for both mechanisms are shared by the radiator, so it is possible.

Yes the radiator has a tank on the side that the transmission fluid runs through to cool it. If it has an internal leak then the fluids can mix. Change out your radiator and get the cooling system flushed and you should be alright

i own a repair shop, and there's a cooler that runs through the radiator to help cool the trans fluid, and if this things gets a leak in it possible,,but this only happens like one in a million, its real rare that it occurs, but it is possible ,but on that new of a vehicle i don't see how it could have done it,but i have had a few of them in my shop before that has done this you,ll have to flush the transmission, and put a new radiator on it,and flush the cooling system back out on it before you can drive it again, but like i said its very rare that this happens,,good luck,i hope this help,s.

umm the only way it could happen is an internal crack from the trans cooler to the engine coolent. This is very unlikely to happen. BUT...lol it is possible

tweed801 the trans and radiator are the same unit on the ford escort sorry to slam you brother

yes it is possible because the radiator can crack in side and coolant can get in to the tranny cooler or the other way around. If this has happened to you than get your coolant system flushed and also get your tranny flushed. because the coolant can degrade the lubricating and hydraulic quality's of the tranny fluid which can cause permanent damage to your transmission.
