Just a reflection...It seems it is always you women who are the ones suffering because of what he sais or does. Have you not got a foot? To kick him out with? Where are all of you men asking for "help, how shall I manage without my wife, I think she is cheating on me, I cry and I cry but she does not take any notice, she just keep hanging out and around with her friends and leave me to take care of the children"?

Hi, I used to have a betta in a 2.5 gallon tank with a few live plants. The poor betta died (he was over 3 years old!) and now we are moving, so I'm not getting a new fish until after we move. My question is: During the move, can I drain the water from the tank? Or will that kill my plants? If I can't drain the water, do you have any suggestions for transporting live aquatic plants?

Seriously... stop whatever you are doing and think about all the things that exist in the universe. People, love, countries, art, music, religions, hate, happiness, puppies, butterflies, whales, planets, galaxies, stars, poetry, envy, smiles, hot, cold, black, white, loud and low, cumules of galaxies, nothingness, air, water, solids, molecules, atoms, quarks, fibres, cells, blood, mucus, flowers, smells, cookies, optic fibers, the internet, doctors, children, elderly people, letters, paper, and all the things we don't even know about.

Isn't just wonderful? Don't you just feel incredibly humble and small when thinking about this? We are nothing than a small bundle of meat among millions, floating in a little rock in space, not much differently than a small grain of sand lost in the beach...

Isn't just wonderful? How could so many things exist at the same time? And how can they tie up together so perfectly?
The universe is just perfect. We are but a small atom of it.

This reasoning primarily came about during the era of great empires. Britain, through its government, came to dominate the world for a few hundred years. Germany took awhile to catch on, but they quickly became one badass country that nearly dominated Europe not once, but twice. Russia in particular is (rather, Soviet Russia was) a rather egregious example of Communism, which stressed total subservience to the state.

America, on the other hand, was rather libertarian in it's ideals and suspicious of government intervention. Until we got that Socialist prick Roosevelt in office. Yes, he may have brought us out of the Depression, but it took a war to do so.

Ever since the era of the New Deal, however, the government has told it's citizenry that government is a force for good, it is there to protect us. Even if it's from ourselves. Who is better suited to ensuring social conformity than the Almighty State itself.
The 20th Century is over now. Why don't we realize that government

What a good present to get a 16 year old girl?

I look back on these years
To see how far I've come and grown,
I take a trip down memory lane,
And what I see has shown ...

That every step I've taken,
You have been there by my side ...
From infancy to adulthood,
We've stood the test of time.

You cradled me and nurtured me,
Through all these many years;
You held me and did comfort me,
Through happiness and tears.

You'd pick me up when I would fall,
You'd dust me off and then,
Encourage me to get back on
That horse and ride again.

Your constant care and loving,
And your warm inviting heart,
Has always been a treasure that
I knew would n'er depart.

If I could be "just half" the person
You have been to me ...
Then you have taught me well dear mom,
For in my heart I see ...

A woman whose most gentle soul,
Embraces me each day ...
A woman whom I dearly love,
Much more than words can say.
