it okay for my friend who had baby a few month ago to have baby shower now? she wanted to wait, dunno why but now she wanna hold a shower! i think dat is crazy!

She is finr for waiting, but someone else will have to give the shower to her. It mlight be good now she can get things that she really needs. Bigger sizes clothes and diapers. If you are a good friend you could give it for her.

No, it's absolutely fine! There are actually some cultures out there that don't have a baby shower until the baby is born. They think that buying anything for the baby before it is born, is bad luck. It's very normal to have one later, and I think it's a good idea!

It's okay, but stupid! What's the point?? You need all the stuff before the baby comes, not after! My husband's family threw me a baby shower after my daughter was born, and I was NOT happy about that at all. I had to convince my mom to throw me a shower before my baby was born so I could have all the stuff I needed. That's my opinion, others may differ...
Also, bringing my 2 month old baby to my shower was very hectic. I would never do that again.

It may sound crazy but it is said in many cultures to give a gift to an unborn baby is bad luck. I lived in both Japan and in Italy and that is how it is over there. Also, in some spanish cultures and in my husband's native country Haiti is is bad luck. I had one with his side of the family after my son was born. It wasnt called a baby shower- it was a gathering with good food and family and we toasted and opened a mass amount of gifts. :)
If she is someone you care about and respect then just have fun with it and attend giving her your support and love. You can bring a token for the new little one as well.

I have been to a few baby showers after the fact. It was nice to visit with my friend's new babies and it gave me a better idea of what they were really needing. Enjoy the celebration of life and be sure to hold the little one!

u can have a shower b4 or after the babys born. i know my cousin waited to have one becasue she didnt wanna know if it was a boy or girl. besides u have it to celebrate the baby and what better time than when they baby is already here?

Definately! That is the current trend, and it makes so much sense, since everyone will know whether to buy for a girl or a boy. And mom won't have to return a whole bunch of stuff. Sounds great!

its ok 2 have a baby shower after. a baby shower is celabrating the gift God gave you. whether you celbrate b4 or after, its still celabrating. besides, maybe she wanted to wait till she could get pictures with the baby in them
