Just a reflection...It seems it is always you women who are the ones suffering because of what he sais or does. Have you not got a foot? To kick him out with? Where are all of you men asking for "help, how shall I manage without my wife, I think she is cheating on me, I cry and I cry but she does not take any notice, she just keep hanging out and around with her friends and leave me to take care of the children"?

I have a job and my own bank account, so your description doesn't fit everybody. To answer your question though, The capitalist system we have here, isn't fair. Men consistantly make more than women for the same work and having the same experience. The success of children in any society in the world has consistantly been based on the education level of the mother. When we have children, we tend to stop learning and if that's at a young age (the mother) she doesn't teach the children learning skills. I'm not referring to school subjects, but listening and reasoning skills. Read to the child and ask him what happens next, kind of stuff. It sounds off topic, but these kids grow up to repeat the cycle. If you're not financially successful, you need the man's paycheck. If you don't see other options, your self esteem goes down and you need that man to tell you things are ok.
In other cultures, homemaking is perhaps more valued by society so the women don't have the self esteem issues.

the yank women everybody is jealous that the russian women people have larger IQ's, a sharper experience of humour, and are a lot less emotionally smooth. All of those traits provide the Russian women people an top hand even as it contains turning on a guy. If an american woman and a russian woman both wore severe heels and a lengthy black gown with a huge slit up the area, and they both had gadget guns, the russian might want to be extra powerful in getting a guy to do inspite of she needed.

What you are describing is not a woman being dependant on a man, but being screwed over by one, and if you believe that this act of being screwed over is being done to only American women, you are sadly mistaken. Everyone in the world, at one point of time or another gets it, that includes men, too.

I don't depend on my husband. I may be a woman, but I know how to take care of myself. I do love my husband dearly and would be heart broken if anything were to ever happen to us, but that is what love is, not knowing what you would do without the person you love.....That is not dependence. I know how to use a wrench,screwdriver, saw, a tractor, T-post driver, BBQ pit, hammer, gun, or anything else my husband knows how to use. Not knowing how to use things and having someone else use them for you is dependence. People never want to lose the ones they love. There is a difference.
P.S. I have read a lot of questions from men that have lost the one they love and are wanting advise on how to get her back, again it is love not dependence.

i don't depend on any man. I have to play both roles of mom and dad. Work , school and maintain my home. If i was waiting on men to do the job i would be wasting time. Whatever happens, happens.
