I never know what these people want to say with these stickers.
Is it?:
- I support the U.S.'s (unwinnable, idiotic) "War on Terror"?
- I don't support that war, and feel sorry for our soldiers deployed in Afghanistan?
- Or something else?
I support those troops, but I would never put one of those stickers on my car because they're so damned confusing.
The way I support those troops is that I don't agree with the war.
Those guys are in need of support because they are doing the wrong thing. However if I put one of those yellow ribbon stickers on my car I have the feeling Joe and Jane Average wouldn't get it.
Anyway, at least Canadians have more intention of stabilizing conflicts around the world instead of provoking them, even if they are in the military. The U.S. bombs things to shreds, then Canada goes in to clean up the mess. The U.S. goes in to establish McDonald's, Canadians discover falafel and bring it back home.
