If you seriously can't get through the front door then maybe you should start doing a little exercise at home first... Go back each week and see if you have any more chance of fitting through. Eventually you will have managed to squeeze through, only then will you be able to use their gym equipment.
Seriously though - your gym is obviously too cheap. I find a great motivation for going to the gym is knowing that if you don't go you're wasting lots of money!
Also, keep to specific days of the week as a routine. If you don't have a weekly routine then it's easy to fall behind.
And finally, make sure you vary your routine so as to avoid boredom. Mine changes all the time, but at present it goes: Monday: Cardio only, Wednesday: Cardio and weights, Saturday: Weights only. Some people who go more often can break the weights into different muscle groups, but it depends on how often you can get to the gym.
Above all, make sure you are doing THREE times a week or more. That way you will see results (better motivation), but also the longer you leave times between workouts, the harder it is to motivate a return to the gym.

We all feel this way. It,s not only the trip to the gym, it could even be the preparation you go through for an evening out. But after all the effort, aren,t you glad you made the effort. You obviously receive motivation from the Gym Instructor, help them to motivate you, by getting there.

i get like that too! i don't go to the gym tho because it's too intimidating right now. i just work out in my room to a dvd.
what i did to stay motivated wasi took a few sheets of paper and filled them with reasons i'm doing this, goals, pasted pictures of fit women whose bodies i admire, clothes i want to be able to fit into, ANYTHING that would keep me motivated and constantly remind me why i'm doing this.
i take these sheets of paper everywhere i go. so when i even think about setting foot inside a mcdonald's or skipping a workout, i can pull them out. i also keep some pasted on the wall in my bedroom and on my door!

seem at photos of what you're training and set short term targets, connect a communicate board on bodybuilding and get into the community via traveling reguarly. You sound like a clever bloke, so write down your exercising consultation and how plenty you carry, then write in 2 weeks i prefer to be waiting to improve my weights via 5kg and so on...remember what you're working for. dedicate to it via spending money, purchase some whey protein and creatine and the water retention creatine provides you with'll motivate you because it will improve the scale of your muscle tissues in 3-4 days. attempt a get a chum to pass with you to communicate to, or initiate targeting each rep so which you sense the burn. i in my opinion hate working yet I take my iPOD and run around the block timing myself and that i dont lose interest anymore by way of fact i think of approximately how i'm getting quicker and reducing my bodyfat.

If you work it might be useful to go straight from work in the evenings.
You should think of all of the money you spend on the gym membership and what you could buy with it all. I spent £330 last year and always thought to myself that I could go on a cIty break holiday with that!!

Do some free hand exercises at home for some time which makes you feel want more which is the point when you decide to go out to gym.

I have the same problem. I find the best thing to do is not think about it!! Don't think about what your work out or what you'd rather be doing instead! Just go to they gym and get on with your work out and think about how good you'll feel when you've finished!

Look in the mirror. Most are not happy with their image and will go to the gym. Actually, I go right after work because once I get home, you are right, its over and I dont want to go back out again.
