Are plants a lesser life form? Why do some people think that by eating them, they are saving the animals? One responded that some vegetarians will eat fruit that falls from trees because it's natural or something. Then, if I were to wait for it to die, and then eating it, will it be okay? No pain.
Another person was angry and called me some unnecessary names. I can understand because I was defensive when I was a vegetarian. The person said that animals are less important than plants, but aren't animals and plants all part of the ecosystem? Why would one be more important than the other? If all the animals were saved and all the plants were eaten up, what will happen? If more fruits and veggies are grown, wouldn't that strip the land of its nutrients? Were does fertilizer come from? Humans would raise cows just for poop and milk? Dump them after they die. I feel that's wasteful. Isn't there a compromise? I respect your choice. Don't get mad for no reason, we are civilized beings.
