It was so incredibly sad to hear the results of most of the gay marriage bans this election. I can't believe that as a country we seem to be so damn unaccepting of difference. As a ray of hope, though, I worked to defeat the gay marriage ban in Arizona, Prop 107. We managed to defeat it, so I think there's still hope for a better future. We just have to keep working on it. We'll show all those bigots that hate has no place in the world.

It just goes to show that a true marriage is a loving bond and spiritual commitment between two people who love each other, not our government. I'm Gay. If I decide I love some one to tangle up with financially, and any other way, I will find a way. I'm not waiting for Joe Hick Fundie to approve.
I think this whole marriage thing being sacred for only a male and female completely bogus. When I worked in a bindery (making books / printing), when we would merge one component with another we called it "marrying"... Sh*t, if the book and it's cover can get "married", then so can I!!!!

Top Ten Signs You're a Fundamentalist Christian
10 - You vigorously deny the existence of thousands of gods claimed by other religions, but feel outraged when someone denies the existence of yours.
9 - You feel insulted and "dehumanized" when scientists say that people evolved from other life forms, but you have no problem with the Biblical claim that we were created from dirt.
8 - You laugh at polytheists, but you have no problem believing in a Triune God.
7 - Your face turns purple when you hear of the "atrocities" attributed to Allah, but you don't even flinch when hearing about how God/Jehovah slaughtered all the babies of Egypt in "Exodus" and ordered the elimination of entire ethnic groups in "Joshua" including women, children, and trees!
6 - You laugh at Hindu beliefs that deify humans, and Greek claims about gods sleeping with women, but you have no problem believing that the Holy Spirit impregnated Mary, who then gave birth to a man-god who got killed, came back to life and then ascended into the sky.
5 - You are willing to spend your life looking for little loopholes in the scientifically established age of Earth (few billion years), but you find nothing wrong with believing dates recorded by Bronze Age tribesmen sitting in their tents and guessing that Earth is a few generations old.
4 - You believe that the entire population of this planet with the exception of those who share your beliefs -- though excluding those in all rival sects - will spend Eternity in an infinite (that's not nice to say that!) of Suffering. And yet consider your religion the most "tolerant" and "loving."
3 - While modern science, history, geology, biology, and physics have failed to convince you otherwise, some idiot rolling around on the floor speaking in "tongues" may be all the evidence you need to "prove" Christianity.
2 - You define 0.01% as a "high success rate" when it comes to answered prayers. You consider that to be evidence that prayer works. And you think that the remaining 99.99% FAILURE was simply the will of God.
1 - You actually know a lot less than many atheists and agnostics do about the Bible, Christianity, and church history - but still call yourself a Christian.
hugs!

Yeah, really bloody brilliant that was... NOT
Hey, but RED Arizona actually defeated their ballot initiative, go figure!
Yeah, they also voted to make it so ONLY straights can single handedly destroy the sanctity of marriage...as if they needed any help in that matter.
But as a ray of hope, we here in Illinois worked hard to make sure that initiative never even made it onto our ballots!!!
It was found that the group who attempted to get it on the Illinois ballots FAKED most of the signatures needed!!
THOSE LIEIN' BASTARDS DIDN'T GET IT BY US THIS TIME>>>AND WE'LL DO IT AGAIN...GLADLY!

It says in the Bible that it is a God given right to be married in Las Vegas for 55 hours as long as it is to the opposite sex. It also says that you can be married and have 2 kids, and then get divorced, as long as it is to the opposite sex. Everything is OK as long as it is to the opposite sex. If you mess up with the opposite sex, it just means that you have strayed. If you love someone for many years that happens to be the same sex, then that is an abomination. I have this information since it is what God personally told the Senior Pastor of New Life Church and President of the National Association of Evangelicals(NAE), Ted Haggard.

You don't have to be gay to be emotionally intelligent. Being emotionally intelligent enough in choosing a spouse is not a matter of who you sleep with or what you do with your genitalia.
Trust, communication, commitment, honesty and a willingness to be intimate whilst exposing the vulnerability of expressing love is a matter of personal development, not sexuality.
Your question is droll. Even if we could as gays get married, our divorce rate would match the current trend amongst the straight community.
What's the point of your question?
