My pug cracks me up! She is a hyper little thing. She's a black Pug. My question is why does she look like she needs dentures? Why does is her face pushed in like she hit a wall going 100 MPH? And WHY does her eyes bug out? Don't get offended by my questions I love my puggy girl it's just an age old question in this Redneck town I belong to. Here's a serious question too. How come Pugs (as small as they are) Are so Dam* Strong? Is anyone else's pug so strong tat they can wrestle the toy out of your hands easily? & Actually bite your toe and make it hurt thru your boots & pull so hard she can knock you on your @$$?

BTW I am the one that instigates the toe wrestle & the toy wrestling contests. Then when we are done playing she sits back and snots & snorts at me. She is hilarious!

Hi, I have a pug too. I bought her in Taiwan 6 years ago after I moved here. I had a few pugs at home too. I just love them so much. They are really funny.
And what's up with all these people's sarcasm. I don't think they have a sense of humor. I understand you very well. My pug also has quite a few funny things she does. She loves playing with my empty tea bottles (plastic) she'll chase it around the house like a cat with a mouse. She'll then lie down and screw off the cap just to get a taste of what's inside. She also farts and looks around to see if anyone noticed after checking her butt. When she hears something that only dogs can hear, she'll prune her lips and give a deep low bark a few times. Her facial expressions are also so funny. She can look surprised, worried, afraid, excited etc. There are so many things, but the weirdest is, every time she sees my bellybutton she jumps at it and tries to bite it or something. She's also allergic to garlic. It makes her swell up so big that she looks like another breed. If she accidentally gets garlic I have to rush to the vet for an antihistamine injection.
Did you know they shouldn't eat/drink coffee, chocolate, onion, grapes, garlic, spices etc.
You can tell me some more about your pug-ling.

I can help you out with this one, I have pugs, I show pugs and breed them.
Most pugs don't look like they need dentures, not sure about that question.
Pugs have had smushed up faces for centuries, they were bred that way because that is what royalty at the time wanted. That has remained the breed standard.
Their eyes bug out because the nose is smushed up and the front of the face just doesn't have room between the back of the eyes and the skull.
They are exceptionally strong. They have very compact sturdy bodies with a lot of muscle built in. All the better for tug-o-war!
Believe me, when she knocks you on your a**, she's laughing inside like crazy.

Your pug, probably did hit a wall at 100 m.p.h. and the impact was so great that it made her eyes bug out.
Pugs are strong, but you are probably pretty weak, and if you can feel pain thru boots, you need to get some cowboy/cowgirl boots with metal tips and then ya all won't feel the pain.
What you should do for fun, is take hold of your pug's tail, gently, and spin her in circles for a couple minutes and then let go, then she'll act drunk and maybe hit the back of her head and pop her nose back out, but be careful, her eyes might really pop out then.
As for the farting incident, you probably did it and and scared the heck out of her and then blamed the poor dog and she was just checking to make sure that she hadn't done it.
LOL

a pug who looks like it needs dentures is probably a product of poor breeding..
the face looks like that because of breeding... and same with the eyes...(pugs are prone to having their eyes pop out too by the way)
if the dog is wrestling the toys out of your hand is poor handling and poor socialization , you should never let a dog become the alpha.. even a small dog - you always need ot win.. and if its biting your toe.. etc then agian this is poor mannars...
