I'm learning English and I ask for your help.
Imagine that you are in a situation like this :
you're having dinner in a restaurant, sitting at the table. A waiter brings you a plateful of spaghetti. You are trying to taste some, but one long cord of spaghetti slips off your fork. It is now lying on the floor. So, could you tell me what do you call this separate thing?
An item of spaghetti? Or maybe just a spaghetti?
Sorry for such a dull question, but your help will be very much appreciated.
By the way, could you, please, mark you country (the UK or the USA).

Sour Grapes, that seemed to be justified, but now that the Dems won the Mid term, and we who voted against it speak our mind and opinions about it, it is called sour grapes, but in 04, complains against it was not sour grapes.
So I guess you can but we cannot.

He's the owner of a sports center, we had a date and nearly had "something" else, but I said no, too much troubles on my side, that was months ago, things are starting to get better. I haven't heard from him since, we weren't so close as to have him worrying about me so I think he did the right thing to stop calling, but I keep trying to call, at least to go to the club, but I never do, what would you say to him?I'd like something light and funny

Okay I actually have two questions.

1) Matthew 11:28-29 says Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.

*I really like this verse but I think I'd like it even more if I could remember what my pastor said about the word yoke. What does it mean?

2) I want to start memorizing more scripture but I don't know where to start. I want to memorize things that I could recall in times of trouble, etc. but I don't know which ones that would be. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Well, i cant go to guys houses, after my sister was *cought with her Bf in her room* ( at my house ) no guys are aloud to come over here, and whats the point of having a BF. Im not lovy dovy like my sis's were. There moved out now ( College) and i feel my mom is being to strict? What can i say to get my BF to come over? Also who are the ones doing the most persecuting?

I saw an answer by a Christian saying they are the only ones persecuted here - he must only read a few questions -- and all the rest let do what they want.

Atheists - half their questions get deleted any more no matter what the content.

Muslims - the posters seem quite nice but there are a lot of questions attacking them

Pagans - even a simple question from one Pagan to another gets several jumping in and saying they are of Satan or read the Bible and what they beleive is nonsense.

Satanists - are they even allowed on here anymore?They had some very good questions and answers and I havent seem much anymore.

I've even see questions and answers attacking Buddhism and Hindus and they are about the most peaceful religions.

In what verse did Jesus tell you your faith is about politics? If anything, he was quite suspicious of the Roman government.

If I was a slick politician, all I would have to do is appeal to the majority belief by MOUTHING THE WORDS, and I could get elected to a lucrative position in government. Would I be sincere? Who knows? Nobody can look inside the heart. Either way, of course, a few hundred grand a year should sooth my conscience.

It happened in one night! Hubby and I put him to bed as usually and after about an hour he started to cry saying he saw "something standing by his bed, then swooped under his covers:)" Since then, he doesn't even like to play in his room during the day without mommy or daddy to be in there with him! He will turn four in one month. How can I help get over his fear!

Some other info is we recently found out we are expecting our second:) Do you think this is a way for attention? Like he's trying to show us he's not as much of a big boy as we think he is and he is still a baby? I don't know! I don't want my baby to scared of his room! We never had a problem until now!

Not anyone on here I mean my friends. I have half a mind to delete all their names off my phone. The only thing stopping me is I don't think you shouldn't cut off all your links to the world. But none have been there for me over this past year when I've been lonely and upset. I text them but none of them text back.

1 of them keeps asking me about my film studies tutor, she is getting obsessive and I've had enough, she never asks me about myself.
2 Won't answer my texts in the week when i need her but she phones every five minutues in the week.

Should I just delete their phone numbers?

Also, even though I'm lonely I don't want to make friends is that weird? It's just i can't trust people. Should I try anyway? Or work on myself, self confidence and so on then try to make friends?
