I feel like SuperCuts should give me a pro-rated fee if I just want them to trim my bangs... Thoughts on this?

I'm with the previous post..I am a stylist in Las Vegas and I have worked in the full service industry for 16 years. I will ALWAYS trim my client's fringe at no cost. In fact, they don't even need an appointment!

But, how about this? Trim your own: Just make sure you do it while they're dry! NEVER when they're wet as you will surely cut them too short.
Gather the entire fringe section and bring it to a point on the bridge of your nose.
Take your shears and gently chip into the section. By chipping I mean use the tips of the shears and notch into the hair at an angle. DO NOT try and cut them straight across!!!!!!!
When you have the fringe section at it's "bunch" DO NOT ever cut them shorter than when your fingers are resting in the bridge of your nose!
I prefer to cut mine just past the bump, before the ball of the nose. S I balance my fingers on the bump.
Start slow with your chipping as you can always cut more but once it's too short...............yikes!

Good luck!

How about doing them yourself? It's actually not that hard. If you want them wispy, hold a section straight out from your head slightly twisting it and cut 1/8". Or cut points into them when they're against your head, very small ones. Or just cut them straight across.

Salons should never charge for trimming bangs whether new or current client. The hair they cut off is about 1/5" for a 6" section across...it seriously is not worth the 5-8$! And if you think about it...how many of your bangs can you fit into your regular hair? You bangs are about 1/10 of your normal hair, so what is 1/10 of 5-8$? 50-80 cents. So pay them 1$ and that will also include their tip...

in my salon we charge between 5-8 dollars for a bang trim....
however if one of my regular clients comes in between cuts i'll often do it for no charge...or if a client is getting a haircolor and wants their child's bangs trimmed, i'll cut the child's bangs while mom's color is processing and usually will not charge because i'm not losing any business or time....
of course if you're going to SuperCuts you're probably never seeing the same stylist twice and not building up that relationship with a stylist...so of course they have no motivation to give you any kind of deal
...if you don't like their pricing, you might need to shop around

you ought to circulate shorter..... or greater quantity. My bangs have been that length for extremely a jointly as and that i actually cherished it like that. you're able to do plenty with it. yet i admire them thicker while they're that length, i think of that is greater user-friendly to variety and has a greater finished seem to it. the two way i think of you will look good even with the undeniable fact that. You very tremendously.

I agree. My stylist will cut or trim mine for free between cuts.

I guess it depends on if you go there regularly for cuts....
