FOR TERRORISM RELATED OFFENCES YES.
For other dangerous criminals too.
The prisons are like sardine tins now.
They cost a fortune to keep.

DOWN WITH THE DO GOODERS, THE CIVIL RIGHTS ACTIVISTS.

Individual freedom can cause mass murder.
Individual of all kinds are released in society, after a crime, and they cause more crime including murder.

ENOUGH IS ENOUGH.

I think they should do more than that. They should use the death penalty for three strikes.

That sounds reactionary, I know. People don't stop and think. They feel sorry for a person who "makes a few mistakes." In the real world, a few mistakes isn't how things go down when a person is convicted under a three strikes law. Consider:

It takes 12 out of 12 jurors to convict a defendant. ONE person out of the twelve could hold out and hang the jury. If there are one or two hung juries regarding a case, the defendant is AUTOMATICALLY ACQUITTED. Also consider the amount of evidence needed to present a case against a felon. It's not like a civil matter or a misdemeanor. If the arresting cop sneezes wrong, the evidence can't be admitted.

On top of all that, you have to consider the length of time it takes to apprehend a felon. The average felon, when he reaches the court system, has already offended HUNDREDS OF TIMES. In some cases, it's thousands!

There a people running free who have made a conscious decision - over and over and over again in their life - to be a threat and do damage. I have no sympathy!

If you think that it is a deterrent, then check out the figures for how many people live in Saudi Arabia and how many they have beheaded this year. Two women just this last Friday!
They have freaky fast justice and all beheading is done in public squaresin front of huge crowds , so it is not like people aren't aware of the penalties.
Kill or sell drugs there today, get caught tomorrow, tried on Saturday and beheaded after prayers next Friday...... and still it stops no one!

I disagree with the death penalty. It is not anything to do with the sanctity of life but more due to a sense of guilt at having allowed a person to be dragged to the depths of criminality.

When we finally get our immigration control sorted out, banishment will prove a far more effective method of punishment.

No because in the end Jesus will Judge.
People are not having the right to decide over life and death that is alone in Gods Hand.

Not a nasty question at all. But the answer is... - yes.

For the positively evil crimes of paedophilia.

No. Because innocent people have been hanged in the past, quite a few of them as well. How can you ever be really sure they committed the crime.

I certainly do, where there is no doubt that the person being sentenced to death has committed the crime.
