I was actually not thinking about it but you are right , there should always be a minutes silence to remember the terrible events of 9/11.
Whatever ones politics & I must confess I was pleased to see the Democrats taking over both houses in the US, let's hope & pray during a minutes silence & reflection that the world (especially the USA) will somehow see sense & try to employ empathy & compassion in their dealings with other nations.

Are you talking about Jordan bombings?
Cause I am a Jordanian, and this was a bad day for Jordan 11/9 last year 3 hotels were attacked by terrorists killing a lot of people, this is a day we will never forget, and all Jordan stood a minute of silence this morning

No, you're not funny! For a start we are rapidly approaching Armistice Day and Rememberance Sunday the days when we have the REAL two minutes silence for those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for us and our freedom NOT those who were in the wrong place at the wrong time and killed by terrorists.

To those of you saying its 11/9 and calling him an idiot for that in Britain it is written the other way around giving us on this side of the Atlantic 9/11/2006. NOT EVERYONE IS AMERICAN!

Regardless of the date, or situation, I always fancy a minutes silence. People need their silence and some need silenced.
