Help me solve the polynomial equation!?
2x5 + 2x4 - 6x3 - 6x2 - 8x - 8 = 0

How do I go about this?

Solve the polynomial equation.
2x^5 + 2x^4 -6x^3-6x^2 -8x - 8 = 0.

I've tried factoring, synthetic division, etc. All I've come up with is that x = -1 is one possibility. These are my options:
a) x = 1, -2, -1, +-i
b) x = 2, -1
c) x = -2, -1, i
d) x = -2, 2, 1, +-i

A few short questions:
1) why do women wear foundation, i.e. what exactly does it do?
2) How do I go about picking a foundation? I have very sensitive skin--it gets oily very easily but it also is prone to getting very dry. Also, what tone foundation should I use and is it better to use a powder or a liquid?

My adult male cat, Rocko, LOVES to lay at the foot of my bed under the covers. I have just started noticing these tiny things that is where he lays. They look like little bity kernals of some type...I mean little. They do not appear to be living things (i.e. fleas, ticks, or larvae).
