I only ran into one person in my Life like that, most People, even when they don't Believe in GOD, will Respect Your Beliefs in HIM.

Hey, that sneezing Thing (where you say GOD Bless you) really Erks me.
Here's the LowDown (Truth) on it.
The Guy who sneezes----he's Already Got the Cold, he don't need Blessing, he needs Healing! And to Top that Off, he is Trying to give it (cold) to You!(not Intentionally).

This is the Way it should Really go:
The guy Sneezes then tells YOU "GOD Bless you, so YOU don't get the Cold."
THEN, if your not a very Good Christian, you can tell him to "kiss your Grits"---cause he's trying to give it to You (not Intentionally).

And if your Are a Good Christian, you can Lay Hands on him for Healing.

Anyway, Be Nice.

Imagine if I walked up and said "My reality bit*h slap you in the face" or some thing to that effect.

I personally would find it offencive as I do not think I look stupid enough to buy into such things, others have had more harm don by Christians then good thus find the fact it exists as an insult, as others have stated they do not buy into religion and thus do not like people using religious concepts
(Why do they need any approval or "blessing" from some one Else's imaginary friend?)

Others how ever understand the motive and thus are more forgiving to it, how ever in my personal experience christians use it as a condescending act, and thus I personally tend to see it as an insulting action.

I apologize if I come off abrasive, do not take it personally it is just my personality.

God did such a good job blessing the 30+ million who died in WWII despite hundreds of millions of prayers to stop Hitler. I guess they are offended because, considering god's track record, it is more like a curse.

These people may or may not believe God are offended because they truly feel that this Godly phrase is somewhat condescending or that someone is pushing their prayer or beliefs on them. To me it is a honor and blessing and not only that but a quick prayer for those who are in spiritual need or encouragement. Shalom

But, God Bless you for saying it!!

The reason is probably because they dont believe in God, but the only way to bless anyone with real meaning is to include God. He is the blesser, we do it in Jesus name.

They sound anally retentive. I don't believe in religion, but there are so many more important issues in this world than someone saying God bless you or that they will pray for you. They mean well, why get your panties in a knot over it? It's not like it's a curse or anything. Take it with a grain of salt. Geez!

God - that is the reason. Most people today do not believe or are so offended by God that they would rather turn away then embrace the one who loves them so much. It is sad to see so many peope hate and then think they are going to go to heaven on the basis they are good.

Being good is not enough - having that relationship with God and being completely saved is what is needed over being just good.

Atheists consider it an insult for someone to say "God bless you" to them.
