Yes I need help on homework...this is easy college algebra stuff but I can't seem to remember it from high school. I actually didn't procrastinate, I've been working on it all afternoon - help is appreciated! Thanks!
Help me solve the polynomial equation!?
2x5 + 2x4 - 6x3 - 6x2 - 8x - 8 = 0
How do I go about this?
Solve the polynomial equation.
2x^5 + 2x^4 -6x^3-6x^2 -8x - 8 = 0.
I've tried factoring, synthetic division, etc. All I've come up with is that x = -1 is one possibility. These are my options:
a) x = 1, -2, -1, +-i
b) x = 2, -1
c) x = -2, -1, i
d) x = -2, 2, 1, +-i
