1- Why is fermentation important for yeast?

2- Which process DOESN'T completely break down carbs? Fermentation or respiration? How does this affect the amount of ATP released?

3- Why would a patient die from having distilled water administered intravenously (it goes directly into the bloodstream)?

4- How does the process of preserving meat (how it can be stored for months w/o refrigeration) by covering it with salt & spices work?

1- I have no idea & I can't find it anywhere.

2-- I think its fermentation, and I think that as a result less ATP will be released..but idk if that makes sense.

3- I know it has something to do with the red blood cells, I think that they burst because of the hypotonic environment..

4- I think it has to do with the hypertonic environment created by the salt & spices..but I don't understand the details or anything beyond that in regard to the preventing the meat from spoiling.

I'm a fan and have all Em's cds, so want to ask and maybe buy the new, and also...
Did u guys hear about him remarrying Kim and not even a month later her filing a divorce? He's made at least one song in each of his cds dissing her. Hel-l, in his song, "Bonnie and Clyde", and especially in "Kim" he's killing her! In one from his cd "Encore", in his song, "Mockingbird" he says, quote: "... I can't see us ever being together again...."
But I'm mainly asking about the cd.

Here is my situation. I finally after years of trying, have a chance to fulfill my dream of going to school and getting an education in something that I have wanted since I was a kid. My wife knew this since the day we met, only because I didnt want to hide anything from her. This is the perfect opportunity seeing as how we have no bills, kids or debts. I really want to live my dream but she has given me the "me or education" ultimatum. I have a really great paying job at the time but I am miserable and have only stayed with it to save up for school. I really dont want to loose her but I also dont want to give up my dream. I dont think I can stay in my position at work till I retire 40 years from now but the money makes her happy. I dont know what to do, I am really stuck

I have recently been on a lot of meds for a bladder infection, strep infection and a yeast infection. my period was 2 days late and it was only 2 days of spotting (very light to the point i didn't know it was there unless i wiped) and it stopped. could this be caused by the meds or could i be... gulp... pregnant?

In the state of Florida they are trying to pass a law that would deem Hazing illegal and it would be a felony....

What r your thoughts on this.....

There was a Chicago incident where high school junor and senoir girls rallied after game off school property and..a hazing incident got out of control....girls began fighting, they made the junoirs eat feces, and it was found that some parents supplied alcohol for the minors....this happened a couple of years ago and was vidoe tapped....

Hazing is still practiced on college campus as well...

What are your thoughts on this....
Keep in mind in most cases that these people volunteer to do these things to become apart of a organization...

i love this guy and i know he cares about me too. the problem is, he isn't looking for a relationship right now, or...he's scared to admit that he wants a relationship right now. everytime i talk to him i just fall deeper and deeper in love with him. I dont want to pressure him by telling him how i feel, but..i cant keep it in any longer. He tells me he loves me and that he cant wait to be with me, but yet....he says that its not going to happen anytime soon...or atleast within a few months...I do care for him, and i dont want to say goodbye, but would it be doing both himself and I a favor if i do? so he wouldn't have to deal with me pressuring him to be together...and so i wouldn't fall any deeper in love with someone that i may never get a chance to be with...should i just say goodbye?
