I need to know how to find the initial velocity.
Can someone help me. I need to find the initial velocity to make an equation to graph.

The variables are:

g= (9.81 m/s2)
time= 3.5 sec
initial height = 0.20995 meters

the equation to find it is:

y= (initial velocity)(time) + (-.5)(g)(time) + (initial height)

how would i do that to solve for the initial velocity?

I have been a temp in a government agency for 3 years and they have just now be given the thumbs up to advertise the make the job permanent. Being government they aren't alow to offer me the jone - I must apply like anyone else!

At age 46 my wife and I have been married since 1985. We have a 16 yr old son and an 11 yr old daughter. Our sex life is good. She stays on the phone with her 4 or 5 single adult female friends ALL THE TIME both day and night. Often when we are in bed early in the morning [6 am] her "best" female friend from high school calls her to wake her up. So I decided 2 yrs ago to start sending her some email messages and ecards under an assumed name from a self-described tall, well built handsome man with a 10 inch sexual organ. She has responded each and every time and often probes to make sure he is someone legitimate. After two years of quarterly emails she has finally given out her real name and the city she lives in. She has praised the emailer for being persistent using that to encourage him to continue. She has invited him to visit the city and has asked him to make the arrangements. Should I confront her with the truth or continue the charade and set up a surprise encounter?

I was asked to look at a Forester SL (I believe it was a 98) that the timing belt went out on while he was driving. He was told the gear went out on it. I am just a mechanic as a hobby and I only have experience with V-8 and V-6 Fords and GMs, and 4 banger Hondas, but I have never heard of the timing gear breaking. I've heard that the flat 4s are a ***** to work on and I wonder if anyone could tell me what I may be getting into by looking at this for him. The guy I am doing this for knows almost nothing about cars, and I am wondering if someone told him the (tensioner) pulley broke and he only remembers it as the gear, b/c that is what I seem to be finding on line. Also, I seem to be finding conflicting reports as to whether this is an interference engine or not. I told him I don't mess with valve damage and since he was driving when this happened I am afraid that it has some damage. Any help anyone could offer would be great. This guy is low on $ and I am trying to help him out
