Please note that you have a wife and it is the woman you are seeing discreetly that is pregnant and you are really more to blame for the situation because you stopped using protection.

If neither you or your lover was practicing any form of birth control it means you need to step up to the plate, be responsible, and help her out. If her pedigree is upstanding and the female role models are there, be with her. Have pregnancy and paternity tests done and avoid the courts, please. It is very costly in lawyer fees and a man gets absolutely no sympathy in the courts with a case like this. If she elects not to abort, I believe it means she wants a lifetime connection with you of some sort or another and is using the prospects of having a baby to either bring that desire into fruition or test you to guage your intentions AND to see if she should carry the fetus to term on those bases. It also sounds like she is perhaps much younger than you and maybe a little smarter. Will she use her smarts to tear you down or build you up. That is key. Good luck.

Well, after my wife killed me, there wouldn't be much way I could do anything for the kid.
What kind of husband am I that I have a lover... Assuming that you mean that the lover is not my wife.
If I could convince my wife, I'd try to get her to adopt the child and raise it with my wife. That is assuming that my lover was no longer interested in being my lover.
If not, I'd have to help the mother of my child out. I just couldn't abandon my child. The worst thing I could do is try to sweep them away like they don't exist. I would hate to be put in this position. Here's the wife of my grown children, the woman that I love. Then I have another woman that I've had a sexual relationship with and now a child by her...
I hope it never happens to me... I hope I'm never that selfish that I only consider my pleasure above the pain that I would inflict on so many lives.

i would be happy and sad, happy that we are having another baby, but sad that i have to do this all over again
