Taurus signs? Doesn't really matter if they are male or female and we usually have a strong initial attraction but it always breaks down somewhere along the way...Is it their seemingly black and white thinking? Their caustic barbs? What is it, can someone explain?

Taurus wants to be in control and depending on other factors in your chart like your moon and rising sign you may not fit the typical Pisces role as being a doormat/follower. I know that is my problem i have a Gemini Moon and Aquarius rising sorry you cant boss me around and dont try to tell me what to do unless you want a verbal fight.

Pisces is a water sign. Taurus is an earth sign. I read somewhere it has to do with the metaphorical drowning or something. Don't quote me on this. It was a long time ago.

Scorpio & Taurus

When Taurus and Scorpio come together in a love affair, their union is nothing if not intense, whether that's in a positive or a negative way. They are opposite Signs in the Zodiac, giving them a special, complex connection. They can combine to make a whole, each partner's strengths balancing the other's weaknesses. Their sexual attraction is likely to be off the charts! Taurus and Scorpio have tons in common, but because their personalities are so powerful, they often swing between passionate love and passionate disagreement!

Taurus and Scorpio both have deep desires, Taurus for possessions and Scorpio for power. They're both concerned with wealth and resources, and they're both intensely passionate about all sorts of things. Taurus is a bit more self-focused than Scorpio, who is more concerned with their lover and immediate family. Both of these Signs have a great, deep-rooted need for security in a relationship, but with slightly different focuses. While Taurus prizes honesty and forthrightness and abhors infidelity, Scorpio loves to be mysterious. A Scorpio's need for security is more about the need to be constantly reassured that their emotional connection with their loved one is strong. The good thing is, Taurus needs this reassurance too -- and is also willing to provide it for their Scorpio lover.

Taurus is ruled by Venus (Love and Money) and Scorpio is ruled by Mars (Passion) and Pluto (Power). This combination is very intense, thanks to Pluto's influence, but it's an excellent balance of masculine and feminine energy. Scorpio and Taurus together form the basis of all love relationships -- love and passion. Venus and Mars go well together; Venus is about the beauty of romance, and Mars is about the passion of romance. Scorpio is smoldering and intense (and intensely sexual), and Taurus, a sensual and tireless lover, is attracted to this intensity. In turn, Scorpio enjoys the devotion inherent in Venus-ruled Taurus.

Taurus is an Earth Sign and Scorpio is a Water Sign. Scorpio tends to be very deep -- like an ocean, too much upset will cause a tidal wave! When Scorpio feels crossed by a lover, watch out for that Scorpion's tail, which can whip out and sting their lover without warning! It's a good thing that these two Signs are so strongly loyal to each other. But while Taurus is open, with everything laid bare on the surface, Scorpio is more secretive and inscrutable. They can both teach one another about their opposite views of life (direct versus complex). Another factor adding a tantalizing dimension to this union is the two Signs' mutual tendency toward jealousy. Taurus loves it when Scorpio displays their jealous -- it means Taurus is adored and appreciated!

Taurus and Scorpio are both Fixed Signs. This means they're both pretty stubborn and resolute once their minds are made up. Let's hope their minds agree -- if not, they're prone to fights the likes of which neither experiences with any other Sign. Taurus seems to prevail as the dominant partner, but that's not always the case. Scorpio can ""win"" through more devious means, such as employing emotional manipulation to get what they want. These partners must learn to discuss their views and needs openly and to reach a compromise if they want their union to be lasting and happy. This largely depends on Scorpio's ability to learn to trust Taurus. The relationship will only fail if the two partners truly cannot overcome their opinionated, fixed stances.

What's the best aspect of the Taurus-Scorpio relationship? Their powerful connection that can shine when obstacles to intimacy are cleared away. When Scorpio realizes that Taurus is there for the long term and won't create the misery that some Scorpios attract to their lives, this relationship can blossom.

ASTROLOGY IS BIGOTRY
by Bob Steiner ©2004

Bigotry, n. Prejudgment of a person based upon an accident of birth over which the person has no control, and which has no scientific validity. Bob Steiner

The above seems to be a reasonable working definition of bigotry as it regards the prejudgment of human beings.

When one person evaluates another for a job, jury selection, criminal guilt, membership in an association, or any of several other areas of life, based upon the color of the person's skin, the person's religion, or the color of the person's eyes, there is a storm of protest. "Bigotry! Racism!" are the cries.

And yet, when one human being evaluates the worth of another based upon an accident of birth--the date of birth, it is accepted. It is called astrology.

Friends, astrology is bigotry. That is a clear, demonstrable fact.

At issue in our discussion of astrology is not whether astrology is bigotry. Astrology is bigotry. Rather, we are addressing whether you wish to defend bigotry, whether you wish to base your life on bigotry.

Practitioners, some of whom are frauds and most of whom are sincere, cast horoscopes--fancy charts devoid of useful meaning. They profess to interpret the horoscopes, in order to gather and dispense great wisdom.

In repeated scientific tests to attempt to validate its efficacy, the bunkum called astrology has failed miserably.

Before dismissing astrology out of hand, most assuredly we should acquaint ourselves with the characteristics that are attributed to us. We should also see with whom we share our birth signs.

Linda Goodman's Sun Signs has sold millions of copies. From that we surmise that she is an authority on astrology. In her book, for each sign she has a section on "How to Recognize [that sign]." We shall take a quote from here and a snippet from there, in order that you may learn about either 1) yourself and your characteristics, or (not and) 2) the inconsistency and contradictions of this ancient wisdom called astrology. Please understand that what we point out in Goodman's book is not unique. Rather, it is representative of what you will find in most books touting astrology, as well as in most books selling other mystical bunkum.

All quotations in the remainder of this article are from Linda Goodman's Sun Signs; citations are page numbers.

ARIES the Ram, March 21st through April 20th.

The ram is conscious only of himself (4).
His needs come first (4).
Aries is concerned with the world only as it relates to himself (5).
You can look for a liberal attitude, lavish generosity with both time and material things (6).
There's little that's graceful about the ram (6).
The ram can also be the epitome of social grace (10).

Are you getting the idea that if you read enough you will run across virtually all facets of all behavior patterns? Bingo! The above contradictions are separated in Goodman's text, so that you will not stumble upon them without some effort. That is what attracts people to astrology in the first place: the idea that they can get simple and immediate answers to life's complex problems without effort.

You will be pleased to know that you share your birth sign with Adolf Hitler.
