I am writing a speech, and in it i would like to use the quote, "if you want something to happen, you have to make it happen." I would like to quote the philosopher who said it....except i have no idea who it is....can anybody help me? It is a speech to run for class president so if you have any other good quotes that i could use or if you kno the name of the philosopher who said that quote stated about that would most appreciated! thanks!

The question has to do with, would you do anything and everything for fame and fortune? We know what they do. Are we any better than them, or is it that we never got the opportunity to sell ourself for that much?

I cant stand the guy with a passion but dont get me wrong,I love the baby because she is innocent in all this.My feelings stem from her relationship with him.He was her first for everything and I mean everything were together for 8 years and after she got pregnant the guy started treating her really bad which is why she is not with him.He took her virginity.Didnt take care of her protecting himself and got her pregnant.Changed her body then called her names for gaining wieght.He dont deserve a child with her.We are still fresh as a couple and I love my girl very much but sometimes I feel like her history with him is just to much for me and it kills me that even though he treated her bad shes says that she cares for him because hes her kids dad.I respect that the guys always gonna be there.This is another reason why I think some guys dont want to get involved with a girl with a kid not just because he dont want to deal with the kid.How can I deal with this.Thanks.

OK at skul my friends will start playing with my hair boys nd girls ...u will never believe y they play with it...it is cuz they like pulling my split ends....they tell me i should cut or trim my hair so it can grow faster but the last time i got a hair cut the woman cut it shortter than i told her i wanted it to be...i havent cut my hair in 3-4 years shud i get it cut or trimmed so my friends wont play with my split ends and is it a good idea to do it???

I'm curious. Basically, people are saying that given only my undergraduate degrees- Economics and History--from the number one public university in the nation--Berkeley (and ranked top 5 in the world)--I will generally be unemployable.

I don't want to sound full of it, but what about everyone else who goes to sh*ttier universities with other majors?

Am I really going to be unemployable or are people just being harsh?
