Here, let me put it this way:
Bend over. Right now. No, don't tell me no. Bend OVER, beatch. I've got somethin that's gonna make you feel realllly good. Oh, stop your whimperin. Really. *smack* How does this feel? How about this? Deeper? Did you say deeper? Now moan for me. Tell me how good this feels. Deeper? You got it. Harder? More? Oh SHUT up. Stop the cryin. You KNOW you like this. It's bleeding? What? Good! That means you LIKE it! Harder? You got it. Now go lick this. Lick it off. It's your fault you got me bloody. Lick it off. Better make it feel good or I'm going to start all over again.
Multiply this by about 7 to 8 inches shoved somewhere you don't want it. Decrease your chance of getting away to nil.
That's some of the "fuss" about it.
Moron.

I'm pretty sure that taking out the trash and raking the yard don't have long term psychological affects on you, maybe other than making you work a little bit. The lawn and the trash don't violate your privacy, give you all kinds of STD's, or unwanted pregnancies. And as far as unpleasent goes, using that word in this instance is like using the term paper cut to describe getting hit by a car.

This is not even on the same page as taking out the trash. There are a number of things that are lost with rape. Trust, physical health, psychological health, safety, and possibly virginity. It sounds like you are a guy. What is the fuss if someone clobbers you over the head and takes your prize hotrod car and it is never recovered? This is only a patch on the effects of rape.
Take your question to a woman's shelter and let them tell you in their own words how it feels. Let them tell you what the fuss is about.

The big deal is that RAPE IS A VIOLENT ACT AGAINST A PERSON, AGAINST THEIR WILL. It isn't about the sex, it is about controlling and physically and emotionally damaging someone.
RAPE IS NEVER THE VICTIM'S FAULT. Nobody, under any circumstances, has the right to violate the body and mind of another person against their will.
Rape is a crime that affects everyone! It is an act that harms:
1. Women: Victims of rape suffer physical pain and emotional effects may include:
Loss of Trust
Low self-esteem
Fear of Men
Depression
Many other Problems
Men: Spouses, partners, family members, and friends suffer with the victim. Their relationship with the victim may change permanently. Men can also suffer as victims of rape.
3. The Community: Costs for investigation, arrest, and prosecution are high. Rape can also affect the quality of life in a community by creating fear among residents.
Rape is NOT about sexual gratification. Rape is a crime of violence, anger, and power. It is NOT motivated by sexual desire.
Rape is NOT about the perpetrator's losing control over his sexual urges--a rapist chooses to rape and it is always within his control NOT to rape.
So, now there you have the correct look at what rape is. As far as you comparisons, you need to grow up and know that you are an idiot for even putting your question up here!

Like just about everyone else who has answered this question....I just have to ask....What the he** is wrong with you?? Let someone take away your right to say no....let someone stick things in your orifices that you didn't want. Let someone beat the crap out of you and torture you....THen come back and ask what the fuss is all about. Obviously you are a sick person and possibly a perpetrator yourself. No person ever deserves to be a victim of a sexual crime. Perhaps you'd like that trash bag & rake shoved up your a**.

I thought I'd seen everything! I'm hoping you don't have a mother, sisters, aunts, or (God help us) a girlfriend, because the chances are that one of them has been (or will be) at sometime in their lives violated by a rapist. Ask them. They'll tell you what rape is and what its physical and psychological impact is. If you asked this question as a joke, it's NOT funny. If you asked it seriously, I can't believe anyone above the age of 8 is this twisted and sick.

You cant compare rape to raking the yard or taking out the trash, My God. Rape is a tragic offense to someone. It screws them up mentally. They have been violated, it scares them, it hurts them. It can mess a person up for a long time.
Its a very violent thing, NOTHING like taking out the trash or raking the yard. WTF?
