To tell you the truth, I haven't read LotR: FotR. I've seen the movie though. I HAVE read the Bible but haven't seen the movie (there is a "The Bible" movie, correct?). All in all, LotR was much more entertaining. Remember how dull the Bible can get with "Bob beget Hal, and Hal beget Phil, and Phil beget Russ, and Russ beget Tom, etc etc etc etc etc"?

The bible. Much more unexplainable thigs take place in the bible. Although the Lord of the rings was a classic that deserves to be read and re-read as well.I think it is a classic epic of man's falling from grace and striving to make it right.

But not the first half of the Fellowship. Why the Hell can't he just get on with it and get out of the Shire?!? If you skip the first half, then the rest is much more exciting than the Bible.

Lord of the Rings was good. I enjoy some of the more lurid Bible stories too. I just enjoy literature, all kinds.

The story of the talking donkey in the Bible is one of my favorites.

I guess more people will be surprised by the rapture than by Lord of the Rings IV

The Lord of the Rings is definately more interesting. It is written in a manner that is understandable, and no one forces you to read it.

Unlike the Bible...

hmmm...guide to eternal life or story of fictional middle earth...i wonder.
i haven't actually read all of the Lord of the Rings, but i read 'the Hobit' and i saw the fist film. it was ok.
i haven't actually read all of the Lord of all creations holy word The Bible, but it led me to faith, has kept me walking close to God for 12 years, brought me back when i strayed, and been my guide. it has led contless people to faith in Christ and therefore to eternal life in Heaven. it is the world's best selling book, it is the most loved, (and the most hated by some) book in existence.

'i have a precious book it's the word of God, it's the only book that God has given. as i read God speaks to me, i see Christ and Calvary, the wonderful word of God.

Forever it will stand as the ages roll, its the living and eternal word. it's my guilding light each day, and without it i would stray, the wonderful word of God.

Dear Lord may i each day, read Thy precious word, my i know it and obey it to. may i grow to be like thee, my my friends see Christ in me, in Jesus name Amen.'
