My friend is a Vietnam Vet. We recently went on a cruise, it was wonderful. We were even planning other trips.We been together about 7 months. My GF, who has pleaded & wept to me, saying that she is in love with me & and wants to be with me & always has, had developed feelings for a coworker who had feelings for her. After breaking up & getting back together, she says that she still has feelings for him but is going to dinner with him tonight to tell him that we are together and to tell him how she feels about him. They have been friends for almost a year now, the same amount of time that we've been together. I love her with all of my heart but I'm tired of getting hurt. Now I feel scared that something may happen by her telling him all of this. Am I justified for feeling this way? She told me she would do whatever it takes to make things right and better between us; how is this making things better? What is she doing? Why is she doing all of this? How can you be in love with someone and develop feelings for someone else? I'm so hurt & at the end of my rope...literally.

I am not asking to incite hatred but I am curious as to know why the massacre of Nanking isn't acknowledged on the same scales as the Holocaust in Germany. In Europe it's a criminal offence to deny the Holocaust happened. Many victims and their families have received apologies, reparations and compensation not only from Germany but also from the companies who profited from slave labour at the time. But many victims of Nanking haven't received anything. I read somewhere that this particular part of history isn't even mentioned in some of the history books in Japan. Is that the case? Also what does today’s generation of Far East Asians think about the situation?
