Safest bet to know for sure is wait until you missed your period, I understand being nrevous and worked up. Im 7 months pregnant and I found out 5 days befor my missed period with a first responce test. But if you are really nervous you could always go to the doc's, they can give you a blood test that can let you know after two weeks of conception.

Please explain the phrase "was on birth control." Does this mean you were on the pill and taking it every day when you had this sex? Or do you mean you are no longer taking the pill?

If you were taking the pill every day as prescribed, then relax, your chances of being pregnant are very very very slim! If you aren't using protection, then make an appointment at Planned Parenthood and get a pregnancy test. Also, ask to start getting Depo-Provera injections, which prevent pregnancy.

It doesn't cost much to get an appointment at Planned Parenthood. I am not sure how old you have to be, though? Call them and ask. Please don't put this off. Here is their Web site:

In the meantime, you should wait at least five days from today to use a home pregnancy test. First Response brand is supposed to be the most accurate. Use first-morning urine and don't drink anything before bed for a few hours for the most accurate results.

You can take the First Response Early Results test up to 5 days before you "think" you are going to miss your period. Buy the 2-pack - test once, then wait a few days and test again.

Good luck.

You can take a pregnancy test about 14 days after sex (or when your next period would normally be). The safest way to know is by waiting until your certain that you have missed your period then take one. Then go to your doctor to be sure.
Good luck and my prayers are with you.

Do you have normal periods? Ideally you should wait until about a week after your next period is expected, if it is late. If it is not late then you probably have nothing to worry about. Birth control is pretty safe if you use it properly, but of course it doesn't protect from anything else you may get from unprotected sex. Anyway, as stressful as it may be, you have to wait until your period.

Now I think it would be pretty accurate. Two weeks, i think, is generally when they say you can get results. Remember, there is no such thing as a false positive but there is a such thing as a false negative. I had a baby at 18 so I can identify. Good luck, either way it goes!
