I sent a tv off for repair, and I'm having difficulty getting them to deliver the tv back to my flat. I want to be able to threaten to report them so they will finally deliver the television (it's too big for me to pick it up myself, and free delivery is part of their service)

American historian Thomas Kuhn regarded the acceptance of heliocentic theory as an index of a revolution
"A belief in earth -centered universe was gradually transformed from an essential sign of sanity to an index , first, of inflexible conservatism , then of excessive parochialism, and finally of complete fanaticism."
Explain and paraphrase this quote in ten sentences, please!

Last night My boyriend was watching tv and his son and I were playing with a ball and every now and then I would throw the ball and him (my boyfriend) but this time when I threw it, it hit him right in the balls, yeah i was kinda aiming for that general area but i never can hit dead on shots like that, Well he got so mad he threw his phone at me, I dodged it but I was so mad that he threw his phone at me I havent spoke to him since. Guys it was a little nerf ball the sponge kind and I didnt even throw it that hard but I was pissed because he use to play profes. baseball and was a pitcher so he was definetly capable of hitting me, should I be mad or apologize or what.

I want to drill a hole, maybe 3/4" or less and two or two and a half inches long, into a loose stone, probably under four inches thick and one foot in diameter. I am told than an SDS rotary hammer drill with a carbide tip is the way to drill a hole into rock, but I have no idea how this device works and with a name like "rotary hammer" it makes me wonder whether I could safely and effectively use it on a small stone in a vise (as opposed to a mammoth, immobile rock). Does this device work like a jackhammer or is it primarily rotary motion?

I see so many people out here saying that there sick and tired , so many people left this forum because of gay-bashers and the like. I understand that its hard, I really do, I deal with the discrimination more than almost anyother from not only being a gay man first off, but I am a trangendered m2f, people out on the street don't know, but it is the the people that do know and spread it around and gossip and such, and that escaltes into violance for me, I have been through alot of gang fights the like and I have been discriminated against most of all when it comes to the law and where I go to college, but does that mean I give up- no, does that mean I just accept defeat, accept that the world isn't going to change- no

for as long as I am in this world, they are not going to break me, but I will break them, I am writing this for people to keep hope and to fight for our rights, do whatever you can to get involved

no matter what, we have no choice but to be oursleves, who agrees?

I think there should be an investigation, but the subject of it should not be the Republican leadership which—like the newspaper which had the comparatively mild emails between Foley and a former page — could not investigate further because the parents of the 16 year old who had initiated the correspondence wanted to protect his privacy. These emails, which led to a warning to pages to keep a certain distance from Foley, were of a far different character than the explicit IM messages, which were only revealed to the House leadership after appearing in the press.

Once the House leadership was appraised of the incriminating messages, Foley was in effect cashiered out.

The important matter requiring investigation is how a recently-created anonymous blogger got the email correspondence which the boy’s parents had insisted be kept quiet. And how the blog site, which had virtually no posts and no traffic suddenly caught the attention of Foley’s opponent

My mother in law (who thankfully lives in another satate) is constantly disrespecting me by refusing to talk to me when I answer the phone and by recently verbally attacking me during a family tragedy that had nothing to do with her. I was trying to let my hubby get some sleep after he had just found out that his father was killed (his parents had not seen each other in over 25 years BTW) and she called and yelled at me to wake him up even though he'd been awake for 24 hours, was running on empty, and it took him 2 hours to actually fall asleep. He's only been sleeping for 2 hours when she told me she was losing patience with ME and I must wake him up to deal with things!
Well, my husband has yet to say anything to her about her treatment of me. I've waited for over a month to let him relax and deal with other more pressing things, but he talks to her nearly everyday and never says one word about her treatment of me. Do I have a right to feel angry? Should he defend me?

On thursday night my husband, his step dad spanked him pretty hard for getting into trouble and he cried alot but i thought it was just from being scared and upset. then on sat. morning i took him to his dad and stepmoms house. his dad called me sunday morning and told me he found several small bruises on his lower back and asked me what happend. I had no idea! I figured he had fell down and got hurt or something. I went to pick him up later that night and saw the bruises and freaked out! They looked like bruises from a fist or fingertips! I told my husband about it and of course he had no idea how it could have happened but the weird thing is he was OVERLY nice to my son when we got home. I just thing it was strange. Maybe he doesn't want me to think he did it. Maybe he didn't do it but how else does a kid get bruises on his lower back??? I'm use to seeing bruises on his knees and stuff like that but this was different. I'm just worrying myself sick over this.

I got such great answers with my Australia question, lets try with NZ!

I was brought up and live in a big US city and a little bored and tired of American attitude and ignorance. I have an advanced degree in technology, I am female in my late 20's and know little to nothing about NZ, haven't even met anyone from there. I'm also getting older and bit tired of my crowded big noisy city. I want to be in a diversere cultural city but close to natural spaces. Which is funny cause when I did search for those words NZ tourism page came up.

Care to fill me in? What should I be reading and where should I be visiting to get a better idea?
