First of all, NICE SHOT! Sounds like he got what he deserved. You could have hit him in the balls with a real baseball and that still IS NO EXCUSE TO THROW SOMETHING AT A WOMAN! The ONLY time it is acceptable for a man to strike a woman is WHEN HIS LIFE IS IN DANGER! He is a bum...it also sounds like he might be on steroids. The quick mood swing and the anger. You mentioned that he used to play professional baseball, did he play for the Astros? That would explain why he missed you when he threw his phone at you. Those guys suck! Go Cards!

Well - if he was a prof baseball and was a pitcher, if he'd wanted to hit you, you wouldn't have been able to "dodge" the phone. With that said, it sounds like an over-reaction on his part. A phone is a lot harder than a nerf ball or whatever and I'm assuming you're a girl so throwing things at girls isn't cool to begin with. Something else is going on here - I've been hit in the balls many times and it hurts like a ************, but i didn't try to hurt my girlfriend over it....watch out!

I think you should both be mad and apologize. It may/may not have hurt him, but the difference between a nerf ball and a phone is alot. I'd leave him before the next time when the phone actually hits you. He definitely has some anger issues. But the other people were right that if he was capable of hitting you, he could've.

Whoa, kiddo, you have got a budding problem on your hands. If this guy hucks a phone at you because his boys were hit by a nerfball, there's an abusive situation looming. What's next? You acciedentally spill ice cream on his leg and he takes an axe or baseball bat to your skiull? If you don't think that scenario is possible, there are plenty of women who have seen that type of behavior firsthand, and some of those women even lived to tell the tale. Get out now.

Well, I can tell you from experience that you do not have to be hit hard in the balls to cause extreme pain and discomfort. He should not have thrown his phone at you, that is a little over the edge. It is okay to tell him you are sorry for hitting him in the nuts, but he should also apologize for the phone thing and if he is able to set his pride aside he will. It is not worth it to stay mad over this...

it hurts to be hit there so i under stand how he would be Quick to react and throw something but its important for you to tell him you are sorry and that it was truly an accident and that you will be more careful next time and at the same time let him know how you felt when he reacted like that over a accident and go from there good luck hope it all works out in the end

It doesn't take much to drop a man if hit in the right spot. He clearly has some anger issues most guys would drop to the ground and expect you to nurse it better. I think you are in the right to be pissed. Throwing something back is immature and shows his true anger side. Its time to evaluate the retionship and determine if it is the right place for you.

Even though it was just a soft one, it undoubtedly scared him to death... otherwise he wouldn't have reacted so extremely.
Even though it was obviously an accident, you should apologize... but so should he.
Since he was a professional pitcher and used a phone to throw, he could have caused severe damage to you... he should definitly apologize.
