I'm looking at perhaps starting a career in that field where it will be on the job type of training but I was looking for any kind of helpful tips that would much be appreciated, I have a good grasp on oil changing, tire changing etc. but what are some good pointers that you experienced mechanics can give to a rookie? I plan on starting out at this Tire and Lube shop.

I've had this friend for about 6 years and my mom told me to stay away from her because this girl told MY MOM all sorts of horrible things that weren't true. My mom wouldn't even tell me what she said but she knew for a fact she was lying. This is the second time in a year that a close "friend" has talked smack about me and then acted all lovey dovey to my face. I don't get it. I'm so nice to everyone and I'm such a good friend but girls in general suck! Have any of you other ladies gone through close female friends stabbing you in your back?

Three men who were lost in the forest were captured by cannibals. The cannibal king told the prisoners that they could live if they pass a trial. The first step of the trial was to go to the forest and get ten pieces of the same kind of fruit. So all three men went separate ways to gather fruits.

The first one came back and said to the king, "I brought ten apples." The king then explained the trial to him. "You have to shove the fruits up your butt without any expression on your face or you'll be eaten."

The first apple went in... but on the second one he winced out in pain, so he was killed.

The second one arrived and showed the king ten grapes. When the king explained the trial to him he thought to himself that this should be easy. 1...2...3...4...5...6...7...8... and on the ninth berry he burst out in laughter and was killed.

The first guy and the second guy met in heaven. The first one asked, "Why did you laugh, you almost got away with it?" The second one replied, "I couldn't help it, I saw the third guy coming with pineapples."

my husband is a marine stationed on a navy ship. he's doing a med cruise & i have to have my gallbladder taken out. we moved to a new city right before he deployed and i dont have any family here and the only people i know are my co-workers. i know i have to contact the red cross and let them know the date of the surgery, and they will relay the messgae to the ship for a decision... but does anyone know what the outcome will probably be? i know i wont be able to walk our dog, or have a ride to & from the hospital unless i use a taxi. just wondering if anyone has an idea on the matter...

My daughter has a 'friend' from school who about two months ago they were boyfriend and girlfriend. he is 3 years older, does drugs, drinks and he is just about every parents nightmare. I tried to not make a big deal of it at first because usually when you do that you just make it worse. And I didn't know he did drugs nor did I know he was 3 years older. He looks her age. However I couldn't ignore the drugs thing so I will not allow her to hang out with him. Of course she see's him at school and I dont like it but now she is in trouble for hanging out with him and getting caught by the police for smoking. Am I wrong for picking her friends? She is 15 years old.

We get so many hang up calls! And every now and then just plain weird ones. Tonight's happened while I was at school. My hubby got on the phone and the person asked if it was him, by name. He said yes and then asked who he was speaking with and she said her name, like we knew her, and then hung up.

I wish I could say that's the weirdest call we got, but it's not.

So why wouldn't people want to talk to us when they call? Why bother calling?
